Woo hoo! I think the flare's over!
Woo-hoo! No spasms!:yahoo:
I haven't had a painful spasm since Thursday, and have even lowered the dose of Zanaflex I'd been taking...I have been having these since the beginning of August, so it's been a rough month or so...I pray that I'm right and they are going to leave me alone for a while! Thanks to all of you who gave me advice and support...:D |
hi debbie,
i know how painful that can be. i'm glad you're feeling better and hope this con'ts into the future for you. |
Debbie,
Was it a relapse? My relapses usually take 6 to 8 weeks to get over them. I always say 2 weeks feel it coming, 4 with it, and 2 leaving. I hope you stay well for a long time. :) |
Thank goodness it's over Deb! :) And now we have some cool weather just around the corner. Maybe that will make you feel even better!
I love to take walks or garden or now, play basketball, in the cooler weather. |
I am so happy you have found some relief. Way to go!

Lady,
I am not well-versed in what is a relapse, flare, or what have you...I just know that most of the pain/stiffness has dissipated, and I feel so much more normal...I feel blessed. I almost forgot what this feels like, hee hee! I would like to get better info on what the terms mean, since I don't really understand them. I quite frankly have been trying to ignore reading up as much, so as to ignore the whole thing. But I guess that's being an ostrich who's head's in the sand:rolleyes:. Thanks to all for the well-wishes! |
hi debbie,
you can get "newly diagnosed" with MS info from your local MS Society by calling 1-800-FIGHT MS. also, ask your neuro's office if they have any MS info. |
its all so confusing during the first year, and all of the ups and downs.
My clinic says a relapse is any new or recurring symptom that lasts at least 24 hours (this can be anything from a numb leg to constipation) They expect me to report the symptom with the first 7 days that it appears, and they have up to 2 weeks to start steroid treatment to help me recover from it faster. They call it the 24/7/14 rule. crazy name They said with or without treatment with steroids most patients recover with or without steroid treatments, but the treatment will help you recover faster, and less damage should be caused from the relapse. Hugs and prayers for you  I am glad you are feeling better. |
Guess I spoke too soon...by Friday night the stiffness was roaring back, and by Saturday the pain came along with it. No major spasms yet, but I feel miserable.
I'm not sure if I should call the neuro's office, since this has been a recurring, almost constant sx since August, except for last week. I am so worn out trying to deal with this...:( |
I'm so sorry it's come back. :(
|
aawww Debbie! I hope its over before you know it.
How come I keep ending up on the top of the next page. it always amuses me how many times I land on the top of the next page...silly things that make ya go hmmm... |
