New smilies?

Is it my imagination, or do I see new smilies on the list for us to choose from?

Chemar 10-07-2009 08:08 AM

I'm not noticing new ones yet ms Koala:confused:
but then I am still fuzzy brained from working till after 2am last night so maybe just not seeing them:o

I haven't noticed any new ones. They do move around a bit, though. They aren't always in the same order so maybe that's what's making them look a little different. :winky:

I see posters sometimes use their own links for their smilies.

The shrugging one I just saw the other day.

I could do without :picknose: .. but maybe for flu season he will get used? LOL

I like the shrugs one...and would use that one if we had it.

I've rechecked, and you're all correct in that it was just my imagination working overtime. I think it's the fact that they move around that had me confused.

I'll just take a red face :o and climb back into my box. :D

 Koala

I was initially very :Dunno: until I realized they move around on the big list whenever we use one of them so you arent alone i thinking they had changed;)

You know there are so many I wouldn't have any idea if there were new
ones.

I enjoy seeing them though. Just wish I could get better at using them.

on the subject of smilies.................

what does this one mean to you?

:p

I have always seen it as a happy one with big smile showing open mouth...
and assumed the : p it displays when chosen stood for "pleased"

:o:o:o
well, I learned yesterday that if one hovers the mouse over it it is "stick out tongue"
:o:o:o

lol sure hope no-one thought me rude when I have used it meaning "very pleased=happy"

:p:p:p
:D ;)

amazing...been here since the beginning and I still learn something new here so often

Have Happy Day :)

I use it often......I think it's sort of a goofy smile. Sort of like when you do something kinda dumb or silly. :p I've never thought of it as being anything but silly. I hope nobody ever thought I was using it to be mean!

Plus, I don't think this site would ever have a "mean" smilie icon, anyway! ;)

mrsD 10-22-2009 10:27 AM

I always thought it was a "silly" one too. Sort of laughing at oneself when flubbing up. The eyes are in a smile mode...

I think it is similar to : p which used to be typed out.

There is a tongue wagging one available, but it is not on this board.

Now this is the tongue wagging type:

I've used this icon when poking fun at myself, but funnily enough... when searching for "just the right smiley" I found this:

Emoticon for Rude = :p

I never considered that icon would be classified as "rude".

I guess everything is interpretted by the eye of the beholder.

(Broken Wings) 10-26-2009 05:39 PM

yeah I knew it was "stick tongue out" and I still use it when I want for other graphic effects... exhausted :p ...or just sick of something or something flipped my lid. It's a cute one. Use it however and whenever you want.
