WOW....This is wonderful

Hi all,
I'm in my room in the hospital after having the pump trial implanted. I feel great. there isn't even any surgical site pain. Before surgery, pain was a 9, right now, maybe a 4. I can[t believe it. I can even touch my foot. If I had know it was this easy and this great, I would never have wasted time with the scs or anything else. No wonder it's hard to find a dr. that will do it. They will lose their patients except for emergencies and pump refills. I'll keep you posted tomorrow as to how it's going. I could be numb from the meds, but all I know is that I feel wonderful

Hugs
Mary

that's awesome! i'm so glad its working for u! i've never heard anything bad about the pumps. i tried to get 3 different docs to try one on me and they all refused because i'm in my 20's. it would be too much for my liver.... but once again i hope the pain stays super low for u!

well, here's an update. Morphine got the better of me. Started throwing up and even with all the mew meds out there, they couldn't get me to stop. Pulled the morphine to try to let me get better, THey just started Duiluid in the pump, and it's been almost 2 hrs, and and I haven't thrown up in a few hrs. so may be this will work. Well, hopefully i'll get discharged about 8 tonight and if the diluid works then I will get the perm in a couple of weeks. wish me luck with the new meds.

Hugs
Mary

Glad to hear it and I hope for the best for you. It maybe the meds but, anytime without pain is a great time. At least during the pause or reduction of pain, your body can rest up and help rebuild your immune system. I'm sure we all hope that from now on your road is a smooth one and someone is following you all the way. Keep us updated on your progress. You will help others by your posts. Thanks again. mellowguy

Hi Mary,

Sorry to hear of your troubles with the morphine, that sucks. I know you have been through so much so I'm crossing my fingers for you that this will work.

I wish you much peace and pain relief.

good luck,

what othermeds did they want to try?

i am waiting for my trial right now, but they mentioned several medsto try and they said i would be on less than 10% of my current meds. that would be awesome....

i cant remember right now what those meds were, but i remember prialt being discussed.

hoping this works for you,

Hi everyone, please forgive my typing, but it still hurst to open my eyes ad move my heads. The diluid really workded well, orphie is the most common med gien, but as it almost killed me, I don't think I'll ever have it again. My PB was 205/140. can we say PAIN...then to end up with a spinal headache. I was ready to quit. I a going to go thru it tho. it really worked and worked well. THe only was to know if tigs workis the trial. I just diddn't expect so much pain. I figured I would be in and then out Oh well. I'm never one to quit.

hugs
Mary
