Back from Surgery.

Had a hysterectomy this past Monday. Things seem to happen for a reason. I debated back and forth as to whether or not to have the surgery, finally decided to do it. The surgeon said they found cancer cells, so I guess it's a good thing I did.

I'm recovering pretty well from it. Kinda knocked my MS for a loop, but nothing not managable.

Missed you all.

Glad to be back.

I'm glad you're back, F2U. And I know you're glad that the surgery is all behind you now and you can concentrate on healing. I believe things happen for a reason, too, and your situation is a perfect example. :) I hope you feel better real soon. :)

Glad to hear that you are recovering well! YIKES on the cancer find!!

Rest, relax, and recuperate!

barb02 12-13-2009 09:45 AM

I too am glad that you are back and recovering. Take care!

I lost my uterus after a child birth that ruptured it. I was devestated! It took me a while to realize that this meant, no more periods! no more PMS, no more cramps! no more bloat! I didnt realize how horrible my symptoms were till they were gone.

It sounds like the right move if they found pre cancer. You saved yourself a bunch of trouble. Feel better quick.

Welcome back home, Friend...I missed your cheery self, a lot. I'm so glad you had this done, in time to save you from the big C.

I know they will keep checking to make sure those nasty C Cells didn't migrate somewhere else.

Rest up and be well.

dmplaura 12-13-2009 09:33 PM

Here's to a speedy recovery! Glad they found and got the C out of there! Going ahead with the surgery was a very good decision!

Ditto what Kitty said. Somebody had your back. Hope you heal fast!

ewizabeth 12-14-2009 11:57 AM

Welcome back Friend!! I'm glad you had the surgery since they found the cancer cells! I have a hyster nine years ago and had a flare up immediately after (started in the hospital.) But I'm glad I had it anyway. I had "diseased" ovaries, according to my OB/GYN and had lots of pain and anemia.

Now you can join the official "Hyster Sister" Club. :D

I hope you'll feel better soon! :)

Thank you all!

I haven't been on NT much, still getting over the pain of it all. I didn't realize I hurt at all until I got home and ran out of the meds. OUCH!!! But each day I get stronger and better. I am glad I had it done.

Thank you ALL for your well wishes and SHARING some of your stories. It makes me feel not so alone!

I love you, each and every one of you!!!

F2U, I sending healing thoughts your way.:) I had it done years, and years ago. I'm glad I had it done too. I hemorrhaged from multi cysts, fibroids and Endometriosis. I had no choice, but was glad to get out all that nasty stuff.

Women get all the pleasantries, NOT!

I hope you bounce back real soon.
