not too long ago, a beautiful girl was born. She wasn't just beautiful on the outside, but on the inside as well.

Underneath her angelic soft exterior, resides a resilient, gentle yet firm soul...

in her life time, she would dedicate herself to all that she loves as well as those that she cares for...

to her many dementia patients, she was an angel that would sing to them, make up songs with them, take time out to play to them and listening to them...she never gave up on them and would figure out ways to reach their delicate and compromised minds....

and for many of her patients that would already forget their own families, they would be able to recall her and her name on a daily basis...

she didn't know that she would lose one brother to suicide...and then her first husband to suicide on the same day a few years later...

and then, she would marry again to a husband who has strong suicidal tendencies...

she didn't know that she would end up raising her grandchildren, just when she had thought she would be enjoying the days that she so deservedly earned....

through it all, she did it without angst, she did it without complaint...

she gritted her teeth and she reached deep into her guts and she stuck it all out...with gentle yet unyeildingness...

she did it by setting examples instead of just words....showing her love instead of just uttering them out....

and now, she has become my soulmate....

they often say that 1+1=2...

but when our souls met, 1+1 became 1....a BIGGER 1...

One that won't be destroyed by any adversity...one that won't be separated by hardship....

it defies all Mathematical odds...thus, 1+1=1 in our case....

I am grateful for the day that she was born....for my life has been enriched a gazillion times....
