Fabulous dinner tonight!
texas road house, call ahead waiting, perfect fluffy rolls, ribeye steak and ribs....sweet potato and caesar salad.
2 camacosies, (vodka drinks)....wonderful waitress...I am stuffed with left overs for tomorrow!

hubby made me from scratch linguinni and clam sauce. it was delicious!
and surprised me with a decadent chocolate cake...so good! the movie starts later tonight....can't wait!

jsut got back from seeing the movie Invictus and it was great!

starting my new book Full moon, 2nd in the twilight series!
gotta love those vampires!

WEll the big surprise came to our house at 5pm tonight.
Chef Nino and his sous chef anthony......arrived pots in hand!
They prepared a feast for us.
Sweet Poblano peppers stuffed with Hummus. These were amazing!
Shrimp scampi done w/ fresh lemon, garlic and butter, parmesan
purple potatoes with onion and garlic, olive oil roasted,
slow baked thinly sliced bruscetta.
Cajun shrimp with his own personal spice mixture sprinkled on top, with chili powder and cumin.
Pasta Alfredeux (cajun joke) - it included penne pasta (rustichella d'abruzzo - imported directly from Italy), crawfish, shrimp, savoy smoked sausage, parmegiano reggiano - his sous chef used what was called a micro grater so it came out looking like snow - heavy whipping cream, garlic, and sundry spices.
Filet Mignon with his special marinande (olive oil, soy sauce, brown sugar and I forget what else)
Chilean Sea Bass with avacado mango salsa and bits of halepino peppers- out of this world good. This was my favorite dish!!!!!!
and chocolate covered strawberries and lemon parfait for dessert, layered freshly whiped cream and lemon zest and fresh blueberries and raspberries...it was heavenly.
What a meal and we had a lot of fun watching them prepare and cook the meal they had us taste stuff as they prepared dishes.
It was so much fun.
What a surprise!!!!

My hubby is wonderful but I have to say he was very creative and went over board this birthday like none before this...so it was reallly wonderful and meant a lot to me too.
