My Move

The move only took almost 2 hours with the professional movers and things went smoothly. The cable people got things screwed up though but I do have T.V., phone, and internet now.

My new apartment seems bigger now that I have everything in it. I know the bedroom is bigger and the front room living room/dinning room/and kithcen are all open and it seems like it's more space there also. I'm going to need to buy another lamp as I have no ceiling lamp over the table or in the living room. I have lots more space in my bedroom but since I don't have a linin closet I'd like to buy a cabinet for those things. I have a gigantic walk in closet.

I LOVE my new apartment and it is $100 cheaper a month than my old one.

Well done and congratulations. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barb

You did a great job finding a apartment. And then moving.

You will have a much better 2010. We will want updates to all
the things you buy now.

Thank you Hockey and Donna. It will be awhile before I buy too much as this move just today cost me a bunch of money. This new apartment would be great to have a roommate to share the expenses. It is big enough for 2 people.

Dear Barbara,

You are doing great!
Do have a nice outside area for walking?
Are you within walking distance of a park? Stores?

M.

befuddled2 01-28-2010 06:40 AM

Thank you Mari. I do have a nice place to walk here but the park is now further away from me.

I hurt all over from working to get my new apartment set up. I've been up all night too.

Hi Barbara, this is a lovely beginning to the New Year. Your apartment sounds beautiful. Open space is good ... very uplifting. Do you have natural light also?
I am a sucker for natural light.
Enjoy settling down in your new surroundings.

befuddled2 01-28-2010 06:50 PM

Thank you Isis. I do have natural light where I am now. I feel like this year will be lots better. We are expecting 6 to 10 inches of snow this weekend so I'll have plenty of time to set up my things inside since I won't drive in all that snow.

Today I had my old apartment cleaned and turned in my key to the landlord. I went to Walmart early this morning to get groceries. I need to get just a few more things before the snow comes. Most important, I need to get gas in my car. It's going to be hard to be snowed in for awhile but I do have plenty to do.

Barb

I can totally relate to how hard it is to be snowed in. heehee

I live in Indiana, and snow is our middle, first and last names right now.

So I live with snow all the time. I hope you have a great weekend, snow
and all.

I believe other than its going cold here we might be having less snow.

Donna,

Your not too far from me. I'm in Viriginia. We are now expecting 12 inches. I'm all ready for it though.

I think you guys are heartier people for having to deal with the snow.

Dear Barbara,
That's a lot of snow for your area.
I hope you will be safe and be able to stay inside.

Thank you Beth and Mari.

I hurt really bad all over today when I woke up. I took some Aleve and Advil but they didn't help. The Ativan I took though helped a great deal but now I won't be able to drive out to get my groceries. I am going to stay home today yet another day. I'm trying to get someone to pick up some sodas from the grocery store for me.

hunker down and stay warm.

Dear Barbara,

I'm sorry that you are not feeling well.
I hope you are ok soon.

befuddled2 02-03-2010 02:40 PM

Thank you Beth and Mari. I am not getting sick I don't think. This pain is coming from over working and then not being able to be active with being snowed in. I do have a lot wrong with my spine that causes bad pain anyway.

I'm so sleepy now from the Ativan that I took but at least now the pain is bearable. I called my ex boyfriend, Bobby, up today and asked him to let me know how his friend Red is. I like Red a lot and he had a heart attack the week before last. I would not have called Bobby up and asked him that if I were not doped up from the Ativan. Bobby didn't answer his phone though so I left a message.

Barb
You keep feeling better if possible. My mother knows exactly what it feels like to have spine problems. She has been laid up since Jan 12th. She finally went to a spine doctor today. She might get some relief tomorrow. A different doctor is going to do the procedure with medication in it.

I really am praying hard right now that we are not in for the snow you and
others are getting. I have a fair this weekend in Indy. And it would be very
hard to go.

Thank you Donna. I hope your mom feels better with her spine. I woke up again today with mine hurting and I'm going to try to not take another pain pill today.

barbara

Dmom3005 02-04-2010 01:26 PM

Thanks barb

My mom is having the procedure done with the pain meds. To have
the xray machine over her spine to find exactly were the pain is
to have medicine put in today.

I really hope this works. They will do other things after this if
it works or not.

I had something very close done for my neck.

Donna

befuddled2 02-04-2010 04:04 PM

Donna, let me know how the x-ray goes to see where your mom's pain is. Is it for the traditonal spinal block or the new procedure?

Barbara

Dmom3005 02-04-2010 09:15 PM

I'm not really sure. BUt I need to call and see how it went.

Donna
