My New Question

ok here is my question as best I can describe my problem...I have a lumbar cyst between L2/L3.....Has been described as likely synovial cyst... I am also fused (several times) from L3 to S1... How can I tell if arachnoiditis?? I have extreme pain lower lumbar area and down leg.... Thanks in advance for your help with this...:)

Curious 01-18-2007 06:16 PM

lmorgan, i did search here on neurotalk. arachnoditis pulled up 35 posts. mostly in chronic pain and spinal disorders.

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/se...searchid=34253

you can copy and paste your posts to those forums and the others.

i know many who have had fusions, post on chronic pain.

i'll help keep this bumped up too. :)

Hello,
I wanted to welcome you and to tell you that you may want to reconsider putting your email addy out there for everyone to see.
I'm not saying it does happen but it could happen that someone you don't want emailing you. I'm just thinking of your safety. There are alot of nuts in this world today.
It's not just the members who come to this site. Anyone can come and they don't have to join, they just stroll the sites.
I hope I didnt upset you but just thinking of your safety.
Hugs,
Linda

help understanding a MRI

HI i just signed up here. not exactly sure where to look.
My husband was in a car accident at work almost a year ago and we are finally getting answers. we got his MRI results back i have a medical background but not in this area. if someone could help me understand it would be great. here is the conclusion of his lumbar spine MRI

1)there is a mild L4 facet arthrosis with an associated 1cm posteriorly dissecting left facet synovial cyst noted.

2) there is a mild diffuse annular bulge at L5-S1 without nerve root displacement, central canal or foraminal stenosis.

3) there is a 3.2 cephalocaudal by 1.9cm in diameter Tarlov nerve root sleeve cyst or arachnoid cyst in the right side of the central canal begining at the mid body of S1 and extending to the inferior body of S2 nerve root against the bony margins of the central canal.
