Dear Winter:

I am breaking up with you. It's not me, it's you, you make me miserable. I think it's time I start seeing other

I don't blame you.. Mr. Winter has worn out his welcome..

karousel 03-20-2010 07:32 PM

I think it's time you started to see Mr. Spring!! We had a beautiful day yesterday, high 60's and sunshine. Today it turned colder and they're saying snow for next week. Uurrgghh.

Blessings2You 03-20-2010 07:57 PM

Yup, Karousel, right across the lake toward MEEEEE!

PolarExpress 03-20-2010 11:12 PM

You should move up here to the Great White Nort'...In the 60s all last week, 50's this week, the snow is ALL GONE!!! Minnesota's the new Florida. Pull up a lawn chair & call for a cabana boy :D..

Kitty 03-21-2010 04:41 AM

Hi ya', Polar! :D I was wondering about you and what you were up to. Missed you around here!

kicker 03-21-2010 07:37 AM

I think I'm in Love. Mr. Spring was here yesterday and I went out in a tee-shirt!!!!

legzzalot 03-21-2010 08:32 AM

T shirt and flip flops! LOL

Hard to believe last week there was still snow in my yard and yesterday it was almost 80.

I still say Mother Nature is going through menopause! She's having hot flashes, mood swings, and obvious memory lapses. She forgot it was spring in your neck of the woods. She is throwing storm clouds around all willy nilly and then forgetting where they are.
:D

Wow -- warmer in NY state than in KS.

Thx, ev1 else, for your comments.

I'm with you Faith... we got 7 inches of snow on the first day of spring. :( And it is wet wet snow. Our driveway will fall thru once again when it melts!

Hope you dry out and warm up soon!:)

FaithS 03-22-2010 10:49 AM

Snow was already gone yesterday, and they're predicting high of 55-60F today, and warmer tomorrow. So, although unpleasant while it lasted, it was brief.

Thank goodness!

Good for you, Faith! Nice to see things are lookin' up.
It's in the 60s here today. Went down to the river to see how high it's getting. Already over the banks and covering the lower part of Bay Point Park. It's hilarious when I here someone say "We got it under control"..Ha. How does one "control" the Mississippi?

SallyC 03-23-2010 07:11 PM

It cooled off again here..(40s/50s) I hope we don't have any more snow.

Dejibo 03-24-2010 07:17 AM

forgot about this thread, and started a new one because I woke this morn to the DH saying "its snowing!"

are you kidding?! The ground is white again, and getting whiter. What a mess. I had started digging in my garden!

SallyC 03-24-2010 12:43 PM

Well we had our inch of snow, last night.., but the sun melted it all away. Cold, but should be warmer on Easter Sunday (next week). :)

To tell you the truth, I'd rather have snow, than some of the storms and tornadoes, that, I know, are coming down the pike. While it was snowing here, they were having tornado warnings south of us.

I hope all are ok..:grouphug:

Dejibo 03-27-2010 10:35 AM

uncovered my rose bushes, and ....the weather forecast for this weekend...you guessed it! SNOW! This has to be a joke. :(
