Sorry for the unusual querry but I've been gone for quite awhile and can no longer send or reply to any messages. How does one rejoin the forum?

Welcome back :D

I'm not sure, but I'm sure someone will come along with the right answer for you.

Hello alkymst

Good to have you back! I'm not sure what you are having trouble with?
You were able to start this new thread, so you should be good to go!

Have you tried the 'contact us' on the main page of the forum? That should take you to the administration's attention and you can let them know what problems you are having.

Or are you needing clarity on how to send a reply to a message?

Give more specifics and I'm sure you should have no problems.
I will send you a visitor message on our profile page, let me know if you received it ok!

Rae

hi

I see Rae's message on your profile
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/member.php?u=1854

you are making replies here, and started this thread, so am not sure what the problem is:confused:

could you detail what difficulty you are experiencing and we will try to assist

Alkymst 04-14-2010 01:26 PM

problem child

Chemar,
I originally attempted to reply to an earlier private message. When I preview the message it was preceeded by the numeral 1 followed by a statement that the message could not be sent. I tried to reply or to submit and neither worked. Exactly the same behavior when I tried to compose a new private message to another forum member to ask for her help. As for Rae's message I'm glad you can see it because that page on my laptop is blank - there is no message but thank you for your time and effort.

I will ask DocJohn to check this for you but it sounds too me like perhaps your browser may be blocking you from viewing things as the profile page is visible to all

I have checked your user settings and all is in order so I dont know why you are having that problem with replying to PMs or not seeing your own profile as others can

Chemar 04-14-2010 02:16 PM

ps I am going to move this thread to the Community and Forum Feedback for Doc's attention

Chemar 04-14-2010 05:44 PM

DocJohn has looked into this and there is nothing that we can find wrong on our end, so this really does seem to be a possible browser issue, maybe related to your own computer settings?

which browser are you using?

Alkymst 04-18-2010 10:58 AM

Thanks

Chemar,
Thank you for checking into this with DocJohn. I use IE or AOL as browsers. I've checked the settings for both and can't find anything wrong with either one so I'm at a loss now.

have you attempted replying to PMs again to see if it is still happening?

can you see the message Rrae left on your profile page now?

dahlek 04-24-2010 07:32 PM

Good to see you stranger! What's happening?
