Good News..........
I got some great news last week. I was accepted into the study at Stanford that I applied for. I do not yet know when it will happen but will be hearing from them.
I was also greatly surprised & feel quite honored that Dr Ian Carroll invited me to become one of his patients. He feels he can really help me. He said it may take awhile to get into see him as he spends more time in his laboratory & doing research than practicing now but he would like me to become one of his patients. He said all I need do is have my PM doctor now, who he knows, refer me to him as a patient. I am really excited about this. Hope you don't mind my sharing this with ya'll. DebbyV |
Congrats that is amazing!! I look forward to hearing how Stanford and the study is. I was actually considering doing a consult up there with one of their neurosurgeons for this trapped nerve in my shoulder but they said I need a referral.

Hi Debby!
It's terrific that Dr. Carroll has invited you into his trial with the fMRI and lidocain infusion! This may lead to some relief for you and maybe some more participation in future research studies...this event could get you started on a healing path of relief! Is the study being done at the Stanford Pain Center in Redwood City or at the hospital in Palo Alto? I am so happy for you! !! Please keep as posted as things develop! Hope4thebest  |
