I can't make Thanksgiving dinner this year! (Some good news)
Well, first off, I am nearly one year out since my second HiCy treatment and I'm doing VERY well. I have not had any exacerbations at all...which is a HUGE improvement over having one every 2 months as I was prior to the HiCy.
And it looks like I definitely won't have an exacerbation for the next, oh, 7 months or so... Tee hee. I haven't stopped giggling since March 15th.... I am officially 10 weeks pregnant as of today. Estimated due date of....Thanksgiving, November 25, 2010! I guess I will probably not be hosting the big turkey dinner this year. Tee hee. (See, there's that giggle again!) Anyhow, just wanted to share the news. I have "seen" the baby twice now and she (wishful thinking! ha) has a strong heartbeat and all is well. I'm feeling really good overall and am just excited as can be. Oh, I will say that pregnancy fatigue is strikingly similar to MS fatigue! Thankfully, that has actually started to pass this past week or so. ~Keri |
Congratulations! It's SO good to "hear" you giggle, and know so many good things are happening for you!

Congratulations Keri!! You have something other than a turkey in the "oven" this year!! Wonderful news about your MS also -- keep the good news coming. :)

Woo hoo! Congratulations! :yahoo:
This has to be the best news I've heard in a while. Yay! I just love new babies and can't wait to be a NeuroTalk aunty again. :trampoline: I hope you get all of the advantages of pregancy, especially the being free of MS symptoms ones.... and I hope you get none of the yucky ones like morning sickness, although I daresay you're just about through that stage anyway. Do keep us up to date.... u/s pictures, blogs, etc  |
Good timing, Keri!!! TeeHee!!! :D
So glad you are doing good after your 2nd treatment. I hope the pregnancy fatigue soon turns into the "nesting" mode where you just keep cleaning and have lots of energy! :) |
Congrats!!! Wishing continued good health for you and the little one.

Yay!! Congratulations!!!!!! So much great news, you made me smile this morning!
You know if that baby wants to come three days early that would be my daughters birthday.:winky: My hubby's birthday is the 18th. But I had great luck with being due the Monday after Thanksgiving, my daughter was born exactly one week early and we got to go home on Thanksgiving. We actually had Thanksgiving at our house that year. But I didn't have to lift a finger. I came home from the hospital to a clean house with a turkey in the oven! I'm just saying, if you work it right it could be a really great Thanksgiving without the work.:winky: I can't wait to hear all of the updates on your new little one! I was just missing having a tiny one around, you have great timing! |
Wonderful news!! Take care of yourself and enjoy the journey!!:)

Congratulations! I love hearing such good news!:D

I just love it, Keri...All great news!!!
Is the little one all excited about a new baby sis or bro?:hug: |
oh YAY!!!
I am just tickled with your news! You my dear, are a trailblazer! I bet there's not a lot of stats on PwMS who have been through hi-cy and then become pregnant! They may want you to be a lab rat for this. Run away from them as fast as you can and just relax and enjoy this time! Don't disappear on us now, we want to know how it goes and how you are doing! |
Congrats Keri
Wishing you and the little weeee one the best of luck and good health. Keep us informed on your progress!!!! Jappy  |
Let them all baby you on thanksgiving. You deserve it. Good luck

Thank you everyone for your kind words. It all still seems pretty unreal to me at times. My pregnancy symptoms have been mild really thus far and apparently I'm mostly passed what should be the worst of it! I did have some bad fatigue for a while, but that is lessening and usually a nap takes care of it. Nauseous for a few minutes in the morning when I first wake up and before I get out of bed, but once I start moving, I'm usually fine!
Journey, my 3.5 yo son is very excited. (He was adopted - so this is my first pregnancy.) Somehow, I SWEAR he knew I was pregnant before I even peed on the stick - like a few days before I tested he pointed to my belly and said, "There's a baby JuJu in there" (JuJu is his nickname from when he couldn't pronounce Journey and then when he announced a while back that he wanted a baby, it was baby JuJu)... anyway - it was SO weird. It's not like knew we were trying. He did know I had one doctor appointment (actually, he was there at the fertility office when the deed was done - but he has NO idea of that)...all we did was tell him we were going to talk to the doctor about having a baby....and like a week later - he was all about saying I had a baby in my tummy! I kept telling him no, not yet (because we didn't even know - it was too soon almost) but he kept saying yes yes. Wow. Meanwhile, I'm eagerly awaiting the post partum time so I can really test how well the HiCy worked! :) |
Keri, that is wonderful. Congratulations! So this being your first pregnancy, enjoy it. I always felt wonderful when I was pregnant, I hope you do too.
I will be praying for good health for you and the baby. This Thanksgiving will certainly be a great time to give thanks. :grouphug: |
Congratulations Keri!! :)
