Problems??

Anyone else having problems with this site? I have noticed some irregularities and just wondered if it's me or the site?

what have you noticed billye? i thought it was me...but the logo is not lined up. i was going to wait until monday to ask docjohn.

Chemar 01-28-2007 01:26 PM

I am not having any problems, but it would help if you could document what irregularities you are having billye, and that way we can draw DocJohn's attention to specific issues

Silverlady 01-28-2007 01:31 PM

good idea

I noticed today that it lets me post on a thread, but when I go back to see it, it isn't there. I also noticed that in reading the thread topics that there was a post by Glenntaj that wasn't on the listing about the last post on the topic.

Am I doing something wrong? It's small irregularities, just enough to make me wonder if my brain quit working. I am concerned about it not taking my posts but letting me do it.

hi billye

thanks for pming me the details which I will alert Doc too
however
i am seeing your posts just fine as well as everyone else's.
I think this is connected to your computer tho and that you may need to clear cache`(refresh) and clear cookies and then reboot and log in here again

Been there, done that

:( I've tried that already and I'm not having any problems on my other forums. I'll shut it completely down tonight and try again.

yes,

sometimes when I click on a forum, I get a white screen, and my server says
"done".. so I back out and try again.

This is more common when I am not logged on. I have to confess I don't always
log on... if I am just going to scan the forums quickly.:o

Silverlady 01-28-2007 10:52 PM

Still not working

When I go to the forum index it's fine, that's how I got here,
But when I just go to the forum, it's an old version.

I've tried all the usual tricks. Cleared cookies, old files, turned off and on, Reset favorites, logged off and on. Don't know what to do next.

ok, trying again

I gave up and did a search and got back to here with a new link.
I deleted the old link on my favorites and set the new one. So we'll try this post now.

Billye, i was having trouble a couple days back [lots of errors coming up on my home page but not other sites] i was using Internet exployer because of a new instalation, so i downloaded what i normally use " Firefox " and it fixed the problem.
I am not having any problems with this site.

DocJohn 01-29-2007 09:55 AM

Honestly, it sounds like a "caching" problem with the Web browser you're using -- your web browser is storing an old copy of the forum index on your local computer which helps speed things up. But it also isn't getting updated as it should. What web browser and version are you using? (Version can be gotten through your web browser's Help menu, then click on "About".)

Silverlady 01-29-2007 11:24 AM

This may have fixed it.

Testing

Think I may have fixed it

Trying it again.
