An article on the benefits of Coffee, based on this I should live forever.:)

everyone I know loves the stuff. I never did, and I have never been able to drink it. I like a good cup of tea.

Well, shoot, I never liked coffee either and when the caffiene started bothering me, I gave it up. I tasted one of those mocha coffee thingys once or twice and think I could possibly become hooked on those fattening little rascals, but no. :D
For years they told us how bad coffee was for us and now they're telling us how good it is....baugh...Brazil must have paid somebody off.:p |
Sounds like time to go brew another pot....
|
Ever since I switched to Dunkin Donuts coffee I've developed a new love for the stuff.
Based on this article......I think I'll go make another pot! :D |

Do you belong to the scuba club that meets in the Greensburgh area? We used to belong even though we did not dive. They are a great group of people and know how to have tons of fun. If you want more information I'll find it for you. |

Everyone used to tell me that coffee would stunt my growth. When I grew up to be nearly 5'9" anyway, I knew someone was just messing with me. I still drink it, though, thankfully, I'm not getting any taller.

"OH MAN!" Now coffee is a subject dealing in, "good taste?"
I got started drinking coffee working as a young communications officer with my police department at the tender age of 18 and working midnight shifts. Today, I love flavored coffees with an occasional "normal" cup once and a while. I love to drink a full 8.5 cup post of coffee every morning at a minimum. Now for me, that is only 3, 15 ounce, mugs. It seems my disease has rendered me impervious to the affects of caffeine. I can drink a whole pot, feel the old friendly wave of exhaustion and go to be with no problem. In my area of the city you can't find the Folger's Chocolate Silk coffee so I've learned to go directly to the source. I order a 6 container case through Smucker's, the corporate parent of Folger's, and including shipping to my front door the cost is only .10 cents more per container than if I traveled to a store and could buy it. I also love Folger's Cinnamon Swirl, Classic medium Roast too. For some reason since my stroke I can't deal with the French Vanilla because it taste like formaldehyde to me. Actually, I know take the Classic Roast and mix in a high quality ground Cinnamon to make my own Cinnamon Swirl and it's much less expensive tasting just a good. Once or twice a week I visit a local coffee shop, The Daily Grind, owned by a family that attends my church. I get a CaraMocha Carmel coffee, grande, with whipped cream. Totally awesome! Just my "one cup" opinion on this thread. |
Mmmmm. Turkish mixed with French roast and a touch of Cuban expresso. I got yer antioxidants right here!

My take on it is- can you imagine how tall you would be if it was true and you didn't do what they said would stunt your growth? :p |
I have about 15 cups, of my 8 oz size coffee mugs everyday. I love it. I can drink it right before a nap or before my night time sleep and have no problem with it. It relaxes me. If I can't sleep I get up and have a cup of coffee, DH too. How weird is that?
I drink tea as medicine. If I have a tummy ache, or tummy bug, it constipates me. If I have a cold, I take a tea hot-toddy, (with lemon, sugar and a shot of booze). Stops the cold dead in it's tracks most of the time, or brings down a fever with 2 aspirin at bedtime. Even as a child of 11, I drank coffee in our house. Maybe it was a nationality thing or something. Thanks for the article wkikta. :) |
