sigh
it is supposed to be 100 here today...no real plans yet cofffee is in the near future that is for sure. going to the pool and the gym.
at least I have some clothes on....
bizi who is still yawning....and I am really hungry! and I was hungry last night a couple hours after eating a big meal...wonder if the geodon did that?

waves 07-31-2010 01:09 PM

Dear Bizi

good job on the "experiment" :)

the thing is you are not used to this dosage - absorbing as much as you did. once you get used to it, you may experience less sedation.

i don't know if the hunger is related. it seems likely if the geodon was the only thing you did different. but geodon isn't known for making people hungry... i'd say wait and see if it happens again, and too, that could be transient.

zyprexa augments the insulin response and that is how it produces hunger, but i can't find anything to indicate geodon does this. all the same, if you find it does make you hungry i'd suggest you avoid ready carbs and alcohol which will perpetuate the cycle. stick to complex carbs, proteins and fats if you need a snack.

i hear you on the coffee!!!! the pool sounds so good, too! :)

Hi, all I'm relaxing today. I really should have just decided to go to the
movies with Derrick and Dale (my husband). But I am always with Derrick
and even though my husband has decided we should go all of us to a movie
soon. He has never been available to go when I am wanting to.

But Derrick and I were gone most of this all this week. So I think that he
and Derrick should spend some time together. But also I'm really tired, and
have a really sore and hurting back. SO I just want to stay home and relax.

SO I plan to. But then its like I just need to relax, the next two weeks are
big. I have to get Derrick ready for school, and Sabrina is having testing done. And I also have things planned for work, one being on Monday night.

So I just am waiting. I also have to go to the school Monday and ask that
they send Derrick's paperwork through fax showing he is still in school.
And then find out what it takes to show he is disabled. Hmmm, interesting.

Anyway we have all his medication except the seroquel. Which I'm just
watching him right now. The thing is I have to find out if I am going to
put in for a hearing for him. But the paperwork was in my box on the
27th And I have 7 days to file it. SO I think that is on the 2nd or so.

Anyway I believe I need to go to that office on Monday too. So my
Monday is big. And I am also working on Monday night doing a workshop.

Anyway, I have lots going on.

I called my client to borrow her jewerly again for my out fit...will pick that up tomorrow.
paper work and end of month stuff to do as well.
Trying to stay indoors.
We are going to a play musical tonight called bat boy.
sounds intriguing!

Dear Donna,

so nice to see you :):grouphug: boy, you really have a lot on your plate!!! i am glad you chose to stay home and relax today i hope you feel more rested. Thanks for the update... good to know Derrick has all his meds now :) good luck with all the paperwork and i hope you won't need a hearing.

Dear Bizi

that sounds like a fun weekend. bat boy, huh... you will have to report back on that!!! ;) great job on getting to the gym. sorry about the pool.

---------------

i had what i thought was a tension headache that got really bad this evening. i don't have the other symptoms so i don't think it's migraine but i don't know. it is unilateral and was throbbing for a while - not typical of tension. and then was fading in and out. so beats me. ice didn't help. i didn't try pills because they don't usually help this kind (i've had them before). sleep helped a good deal, but it still isn't gone.

tomorrow i have been enlisted for cooking duty - these are experiments which i do not mind doing. on the menu are chicken thighs with curry-orange bbq sauce, but i figure worse come to worst the pizza place is open. ;)

Dear Bizi,
After a few days of the Geodon and FOOD, you might call the pdoc on Monday and ask if you can lower the dose a little tiny bit.

I was hungry again last night, hubby thinks it is psychological...I don't know.
around 10 pm I had pop corn, ice cream and almonds and chewed gum because I was still craving food and anxious, figity.
Actually got up early for me today!
8 am and did not feel tired.
Went out to breakfast and came home and READ THE PAPER, I never do that, watered the outdoor plants, did the check book and some paper work getting all ready for the work week tomorrow, short week...we leave on thursday to fly to INDY for my nieces wedding reception, back by monday. Will not have any computer acess while we are gone.
Having the pet sitter again.
Going to pick up the jewerly from my client and go to the pool now that my chores are wrapping up.
Have a great rest of the weekend!

Dear Bizi

i don't know. it could be psychological but that does seems strange.

so what was the Bat Boy musical like?

my orange-curry BBQ chicken thighs came out ok flavorwise, but kinda overcooked. :( at least the veggies were ok.

i still feel tired.

Dear Bizi

The being more active and getting things done faster. Is something
I've heard from some of the parents of my kids when they are put on
this drug. I haven't had any that have had problems with them eating
more than they should. So I don't know about that one.

I personally wonder if you just are in a time that you need to do this.

I know that I need to have more energy.

Busy Weekend

Hi,

I had a 5 1/2 hour meeting yesterday.
Then I had to come home and do more work on the computer.
. . . phone calls today.

Then the cleaning lady was here a looooong time today.
We made great progress putting stuff away that had been tossed about since the move one year ago.

My closet and dresser are straightened out. :)
Even my sock drawer is nicely organized. :)

I was ruthless about tossing stuff.
I want the right number of items --- things that fit into the places I have with no spill over into piles.

The Wellbutrin is helping tremendously.

Dear Mari

Dmom3005 08-01-2010 11:20 PM

My thoughts to this were:

WOW Mari is working such a productive Saturday.

I bet she will take it easy on Sunday.

Then I read her Sunday and No.

SHe does even more, but at least its for herself.

Way to go.

Thanks!
I feel better about my place.
The cleaning lady will be back next weekend.
After that weekend I am going to be finished except for maintenance work.
(I mean my status next weekend will be declared good enough.)
If there is another organizing-related task that needs to be completed, it can wait until next summer.
