Lol Bizi & Mari...

just looking over the forum... it's funny how you both started weekend threads at exactly 11.20am eastern time. :D i thought about starting one myself... good thing i didn't we might have ended up with 3 threads...

Bizi you sound like you are heading for a fun weekend.

i hope to do some cooking... as usual...

i was supposed to do labs but it is closed for holidays through the 17th.

other than that just trying to stay sane.

maybe work on that employment letter,
maybe try to clean/de-clutter my areas a bit,
maybe wash the floors.

woohoo! exciting stuff there, i know... :o:rolleyes:

what is everyone else up to?

Dear Waves,

One good thing about the floor is you can see the difference. :)
There are not many things that I do that can be accomplished in a finite time frame, a finite amount of space, and that can look nice when finished (I make everything I do into a cloudy mess in my head).

One can look at a clear floor and feel good about it.

(Acutally I think my first tdoc -- the CBT guy -- used to talk about this kind of thing.)

. . . wondering if I can clean something today or start and complete a task.

M.

waves 08-13-2010 02:25 PM

yes... being able to see results is very helpful. :)

i make things into big messes in my head too. :o

i might pretend a tech is coming and clear off the top of my desk. just to have something visibly nicer.

i also need to clean the leaves of my poor Zamioculcas, it is very dusty.

Hi,
Today I stayed in. It was nice.

Tomorrow / Saturday I have an errand to run across town and then I meet a work friend at Ruby Tuesday to get some work done while we gossip.

Cleaning lady is coming on Sunday to help hubby organize his room.
He has never let anyone touch his things and yet he is allowing her not only to touch them but to completely "redesign" his way of storing them.

She also told me she is going to try to encourage him to throw out some items.
She seems to have a calming influence on him.
Plus, she is really gifted at helping people minimize their stuff.

The best part: I have nothing to do with that on Sunday. :sunchair:
I am going to leave them alone while I relax and do whatever I want.

M.

Hi all
I went garage saling with Sabrina today.

We bought mainly things for Will and the other kids.

And had lunch at one of our favorite places.

But it was fun.

Sunday Morning, 6 a.m.

Dear Donna,

that sounds nice. :) Could you remind me who Sabrina is... i am thinking she is she your daughter-in-law but i am not sure if i remember right?

---------

well, i washed the living daylights out of the living room floor yesterday (i.e. Saturday). also the bathroom, hallway, and the worst part of the kitchen. but i deep-cleaned the living room.

my dad was amazed and my mom was real happy.

it was hard work. i am out of shape.

bizi 08-15-2010 09:47 AM

wow!!!
waves that is amazing that you felt up to doing that!
good for you.

Dear Bizi

i think about how many moms do this stuff and more ... *all the time* ... and i can't seem to feel good about it. :(

i didn't feel up to it, really. i pushed myself through it, a bit at a time. it was hard mentally as well as physically.

my mom is just beaming and has said more than once she can see the difference. i am glad she can, because i can't. where i made a big difference is all back under and behind things... places that aren't usually exposed and you don't see. :o

i don't feel like doing anything. anything i do, i push myself through it. but so far today i haven't even been able to push myself to clean my poor plant. it is not doing well because i forgot to water it for a time. i look at it and feel even worse, and ... think about something else. sigh. i slept 7 hours but still feel tired and kinda sleepy. everything in my body hurts too - like i worked out.

~ waves ~

bizi 08-15-2010 11:00 AM

you did work out with all of that cleaning!
you are being hard on yourself again...you helped around the house and I feel happy for you about it!

waves 08-15-2010 11:38 AM

Dear Bizi

i know i am being hard on myself. i can't seem not to. :o i can't seem to feel good about it. thank you for being happy for me. i am glad my mother is happy about the floors too.

we are having a wonderful big storm. lots of wind and rain and crashing thunder and lightning. we have had them maybe 3-4 times this year already. that is unusual for here! i am glad. i love storms. i don't mind their noise either for some reason.

Oh Mari I am so super glad that you had slept. I hope it is a sign of many more ahead.

Bizi you always fill your weekends with the most interesting things, I love reading about them.
I love having friends that have slept, and we are happy for them, I am happy for friends that are waiting for cell's, for rain to stop and the sun to shine in their days.....
Waves, your post moved me...thanks for sharing. DMom, I miss the yard sale flea market days.

Today is our 18th anniversary...we dated as attached friends for 13 years, and before that my grandma and pop lived next door to his parents so I have known dh since I was 10. I told another neighbor back as children that I would marry him some day....I was 23 when we first started dating....

Man it has never been a bed of roses, there are ups and downs, but there is always love. My children were reared as his, our Katie is our blessing. To my grandson he is Poppy.

If I could only get through to him that comfort, is that hugs are a start, and trying to make me happy is not pinching my butt running up the steps, or dipping me into a tago hold with a passionate kiss.
He was able to retire this year after the plant closed last year we nearly lost our home this spring. But, now the income is better.

But with my grandsons custody hearing tomorrow, we are going to celebrate tomorrow. The Dil just has a lot of issues, as a family we tried to help with, but when it became physical and threatening, out side support was needed.
The kids really were robbed of their summer with all the legal fees. The swimming pool really got its use though...

Oh enough, I am sending hugs and love to all, keep us close too.
:grouphug:
