August Has Been The Worst So Far

At least for me, the MS symptoms have really ramped up, this month. I have trying to make the best of it, as I usually do, but it's been tough.

August has been a funny month weatherwise. One day it's 90 and the next 70, but the temps changes are only exacerbated by the humidity.

Even the A/C doesn't know how to act. When it was consistantly in the mid 80s to mid 90s, the Air ran almost constantly and it stayed pretty nice, in the house.

It's just one of those things that POs me, 'cause I can't do a dang thing to change it...GRRRRRRR.. I go to bed feeling tired, sick to my tummy and extremely achy and wake up feeling the same way.

Anyone else notice this month being extremely hard on us with Neuro Disease/MS?

I know it has been a bit of a rough month for me.Some ms symptoms that have disappeared have returned (dizziness, internal tremors/vibrations), and my spasticity and hug are also worse.

take this for what you will (if you believe in all that) but mercury is currently in retrograde which sometimes causes weird things to happen: http://www.astrologycom.com/mercret.html

It's been a hard month for me too. My pain and dizziness and spasms have all been worse. Especially the pain. But then again since my last flair started in April I feel like my symptoms seem to be getting progressively worse. So each month my symptoms are worse than the last.

We've had weird weather, too. Stifling hot, then cooler....all within 24 hours.

I think my sx problems have to do with the barometric pressure. I can tell you by listening to the weather report the night before how I'll feel the next day. I've actually gotten pretty good at it!

SallyC, I'm so sorry you've been feeling so crummy. A sweet person like you doesn't deserve it.

What she said...feel better. Summer is almost over.

karousel 08-26-2010 10:07 PM

I hope August hurries up and gets over so you can find some relief. {{{hugs}}} I found July to be the toughest for me because of how many hot, humid days we had. We're finally cooling off now and it is such a relief. I think the heat is coming back the next few days but since the evenings are cooler, it'll be easier than it was before.

Dejibo 08-27-2010 07:44 AM

I second the motion. August has been a tough month. 100 degrees one day and then 60 the next. Allergies are massive due to pollen confusion. the humidity has kept mold on the rise, and the heat simply exhausts me.

Hang in there Sal.

Debbie D 08-27-2010 08:32 AM

You're so right Sal Pal...we commiserate with ya...pain, fatigue, queasiness, just not fun.
I don't think I've ever looked forward to autumn as much as this month...

feel better soon, dear:hug:

SallyC 08-27-2010 11:55 AM

Oh yeah, the allergies, as Dej mentioned. This is hay fever season.

Sally:hug: Thinking of you sweetie... .I wish I could make you feel better. The heat and humidity for some reason makes things worse. Not sure why- but it definitely does. Wish it would go away!!!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could just find some huge freezer to go sit inside for 30 minutes to cool off? :p Sorry, I'm trying to make us all have some fun.... It would feel really good... That is the only time I feel good is when it is nice and cool: inside the car with the air conditioner cooled down as far as it can possibly go!! It truly is the simplest things in life that make a person happy1!:D

Hugs

Coffeegirl

Hope you get a break soon, Sally. My symptoms come and go, and when I'm in a testy mood I can't tell if it's real or if it's memorex.

SallyC 08-27-2010 07:24 PM

Sounds like you are all paddling along, in this boat, with me.:( I'm just soooo tired of it all. Some days are better than others and I'm thankful for that.

Don't pay too much attention to my down time....I'll be back up....God usually sees to that.:)

Smile Sally.... Even though today has been tough... Smile because so many people love you and are thinking about you.. :) Many hugs- Coffeegirl

I'm right there with you Sally. :( The pain, spasticity and fatigue have been at an all-time high this month, but August and I have a "history" of increased sxs. Fall is coming.......yesterday I was outside 'rolling around' and noticed some of the trees are beginning to have darker leaves. I pray we'll all feel better soon! :)

Dejibo 08-28-2010 07:27 AM

woke up SNORING! the pine pollen is so thick right now. My sinuses are going crazy! my nose is runny, yet stuffed up, how can that be?! At least we get ONE more day of nice weather and then back to the ovens we go.

EddieF 08-28-2010 12:54 PM

Hey Sally. My left (good arm) has caught up to the right since June. Was 100% Jan 2009. Now the Florida sun doesnt feel like much anymore.

Desinie 08-28-2010 02:23 PM

I'm so wishing for Fall. We're coming up on our 8th or 9th heatwave. ( I lost count) Hang in there, Sally and all. I'm right there with you!:hug:

Summer is almost over and heat and present allergens move on. Feel better, SallyC. Images of cool Fall daze :p

It's almost over. Just M T and then WTF..:D..It's Ovah!!! :yahoo:

Let us pray that Sept will be the start of something good for all of us,:grouphug:

Lady 08-29-2010 11:40 PM

Sally I don't think the kids going back to school will be as happy as you will be. :D

However, I have had enough of this heat and humidity too.

I hope you are doing okay.

Blessings2You 08-30-2010 05:20 AM

A school bus just went by, two or three maples are edged in orange...and it's supposed to be 90 for the next three days. Ack. "At least" it gets down in the upper 50's-low 60's at night. I keep saying to myself.

SallyC 08-30-2010 02:43 PM

I think I have a slight UTI, which may account for my not feeling so hot. I'm just taking multi Cranberry caps for now. Sometimes that works if it's not a raging one. Keeping fingers crossed. I hate taking ABs.:(
