Won Concert tickets, yep, I still got it!
 

I am so psyched, can't say what concert until after I go, but it should be great! Jackie's gonna be there of course, and it's gonna be his first concert. Both Jack and I are going and will NOT separate, I won a pair of tickets and we're going to have to buy one for me to use. I have had a total "OMG I won!" experience since exactly 1:15 EST and I thought it was time for a new thread, something with HIGHER energy then I have felt over the past few months. August is almost over! HOORAY! Today I won on the radio station! YAHOO! :D

I don't think they can, but you never know, I am going to mention it when they respond to me hopefully Monday about what kind of tickets they are because I have to buy one to match up with the pair I won. :D

Thanks beth! I know it was shocking! I was afraid the dj was ragging on me and was pulling my chain! :D

Well the dj wasn't pulling my leg! We went and picked the tickets up and then went by the box office and bought a handicapped seat for me to use, we still don't know if we'll be able to sit together yet, hopefully they will not sell a crapload of tickets for the handicapped seats and we can get two for the guys to use. If not then so be it. I am really excited about the concert. We need earplugs so I gotta get those at CVS soon, like Saturday. YEEHAW! :D

Wish I could get over feeling nervous....I just want nothing to go wrong, and I worry because it's just gonna take an hour to get onto the road after the show.....Kiddo had trouble with the earplugs I picked up...Can't have him not wearing ear plugs at this show....Me either I need to be able to hear him when he's talking that's what bothers me, that kiddo might need me for something and we can't hear each other for three days is going to be asking too much, I think I will try to pick up some other earplugs like at walgreens or something....

I wish I remembered when the Concert was, but it its late enough
that you can wait till he gets back to school

Ask his teachers' also if they have any ear plugs you could use for
him.

Hey there Pam,

Good luck finding the earplugs for Jackie! you are probably looking for something specific... but in case it can help...

i use disposable ones, that are made out of soft wax and cotton. you can squish them into any shape you like. they are too big for my liking, so i use a half in each ear (tear one into two halves and squish those up again nicely).

WOW!!! We had the BEST time! It was so awesome! I can't even begin to describe how excited we all were seeing Disturbed, Stone Sour, Avenged Sevenfold, and Halestorm! We came mostly for Disturbed though. Hehehehe! And they were AWESOME! We used our earplugs and all of us had no trouble hearing later. I am so GRATEFUL Jackie did as well as he did. He was awesome! And before the concert a friend of the band (Disturbed) came over and gave us these:

They have his picture and his miniaturized signature on them along with the band's logo! He gave us each one, told us how Dan Donegan, the guitarist, had asked him to come over and give us some of his picks. I was stunned! He was so nice too! Told us to enjoy the show and we told him it was our son's first show and he was like "Great, Rock on!" I am so excited even now, just thinking about how great the show was. I am so glad I won seats, we were a couple thousand feet away from the stage too, it wasn't bad seating at all! The Rockstar Uproar festival was simply the best! And we got home around 1:30 am, not 3 am like we'd feared. We left during the encore and got on the road just after the band stopped playing. It was so cool! The whole day worked out perfectly! :D

Thanks Mari! Thanks Di! I am really happy it went over so well. I hope that we're able to see Def Leppard next year and maybe even the Foo Fighters if they come to town. He loves their music too. We just celebrated his birthday yesterday and it was awesome. He loved his present, Barnyard Bingo by Fischer Price, bought it used off Amazon, that is the only place besides Ebay you can even find it anymore. Now to try to guess what he'd like for Christmas...LOL!
