A Surprise Gift.

Today's mail had a gift for me. At first I thought I had ordered something and forgot about it.:D

DDH's HS Class of 1955 celebrated their 55th reunion and everyone attending received a coffee cup wth all the 1955 graduating class listed.

My DH was not only the class clown, he was the class artist. He had designed and painted a reunion logo for them and right in the middle of that cup was his artwork w/his name.:)

The class sent me one!!!:p:) I am thrilled and of course blubbered all over it..LOL. I e-mail with some of them and they are a one of a kind close class. They all keep in touch with each other and have adopted me.

Aw, Sally, that's so nice! What a wonderful surprise. You'll cherish that coffee cup always. How sweet that they took the time to package it up and send it to you. Restores my faith in humankind! :)

HahAHa!! Not at all. I went to an all girls Catholic HS and he was not atheletic.:D

SallyC 10-20-2010 07:18 PM

DH actually did this art on a welcoming sign to their 40th HS reunion, that he hosted, in 1995. The class kept it and used it often. The Mug that they gave to me was for their recent 55th reunion.

It's not his best work...LOL
He alwas put something silly and not always visable to the naked eye, on his artwork. Right under the 55 to the right is "give r take" (like in, I'm 55, give or take.):D

Aww that was very sweet....and uh, hubba hubba!

SalPal was a catholic school girl....that explains her fear of yard sticks and rulers. LOL

kicker 10-21-2010 08:53 AM

My brother was hit with a ruler at Catholic school and sister's teased hair head held under a faucet, so Mom sent her next 2 kids to Public School (me and next brother). We all did OK and pretty much the same.
