Useless poll: Geico piggy
 

I was just reading a forum where they were discussing the Geico commercial with the piggy going "wheee!" all the way home. The forum itself was cracking me up, with the responses about evenly divided between, "We love it, we rewind it and play it again" and "You have to be kidding, it makes me want to put my foot through the TV".

I personally think it's a hoot. I love the long-suffering Mom, and the way the kid in the back seat looks at the pig. What are your feelings?

I think it's funny the way the little boy in the backseat keeps glaring at the little piggy. But the singing does make me want to tear my ears off my head. :p

I like to whirl around in my chair going wee-wee-wee. I love that commercial.

Geico has started making lots of commercials without the gecko. I like the woodchuck one. And the one with the former military drill Sgt. as the therapist who throws the box of tissues at his patient. :p I think my favorite is the talking pothole! My kids say I sound just like it! :o

I love the one with R. Lee Ermey (the former drill drill instructor for the Marines) That one is my favorite along with the Abraham Lincoln commercial.

The announcer asks "Does Geico really save you 15% or more on car insurance? Was Abe Lincoln honest?"...then they show Mary Todd straightening her dress, she asks Lincoln if her dress makes her backside look big. He looks at her for a second, has to actually think about it...and then reluctantly says "Perhaps a bit...". The look on her face as Lincoln checking out her butt before he answers her is really funny. Mary Todd ends up leaves the room looking pretty ticked off. (They really did a good job choosing the actor and actress playing Lincoln and Mary Todd.)

First time I saw it, I laughed so hard. It was hilarious. It still makes me giggle. I'd probably never actually buy Geico insurance (I have USAA...love their insurance) but Geico has got some of the best commercials.

I liked the Caveman commercials too.

I also like the Progressive commercials with "Flo". She's funny.

"Hey you dang woodchucks! Quit chuckin' my wood!" That cracks me up, too. Whoever is thinking up these commercials is going to be a millionaire.

I dont watch many commercials, or much TV for that matter, but thought this one to be funny!

That commercial is so clever.

I love the "ringtone" commercial where the old man has that crazy ringtone on his cellular. My DS thought it was so funny.....he actually downloaded that ringtone to his cell phone!

I have never seen it. Since I use my DVR for everything but the news, I fast forward through all of the commercials.

Probably British. His accent is a Cockney accent.

Me too....and now that I've seen that squealy little piggy..:mad:..Well let's just say that if I were driving, I'd open the door and push that little piece of pork out...wewewewewewewewe.:D

I love the little piggy! I have fond memories of my mom and dad playing the "This little piggy" poem/song with me and my brothers as tots. :D

Geico has definitely gotten much much better with their commericals. I hated the caveman ones they did!

Me, too, Pam. That caveman was getting old. And it wasn't funny....at least not to me. He was a little creepy looking.

I will admit that even my favorite ones get old after a while, and become counterproductive. I love the piggy, but only a few dozen more times. (My new favorite is the Windows Phone ad ["Really?"] and ongoing fave is the Armstrong Flooring ad with the parrot ["Here, kitty, kitty...])
