IF...

If you could have anything you wanted for Christmas or Hanukkah...

What would you chose?

I'm just curious....

jaded2nite 12-11-2010 09:22 PM

This is VERY selfish but my 1 wish would be to be painfree:p!!

July63 12-11-2010 09:34 PM

to be loved.

Material wise there isn't really anything I want, maybe help on all my bills/taxes.

Wren 12-11-2010 09:56 PM

To keep climbing up .... maybe climb faster
Thanks for asking

Congress to stop fighting with each other and instead work together for the common goal.

I would have to say, with almost the same words, the same thing that July wants.

DMACK 12-12-2010 05:57 PM

To learn more next year, than this year
To cope better next year, than this year
To achieve more next year, than this year
To love myself more next year, than this year
To love others more next year, than this year
To understand more next year, than this year
To care more next year, than this year

GREEDY arn't I:D

Abbie 12-12-2010 10:11 PM

WOW... these are ALL GREAT!!!

I knew I asked the right question!! :)

Anyone else want to share??? Please...

Addy 12-13-2010 12:02 PM

I honestly can't think of an answer... and that's why I haven't answered.

I think I want to be able to understand more...
... so that, perhaps, I can rationalize why being a human is so difficult.

Abbie, what do you choose?

Abbie 12-13-2010 02:52 PM

I really have no idea.

I have never asked for anything for Christmas... it used to drive my parents crazy. Now I have a niece just like me..she never asks for anything.

Alffe 12-13-2010 03:27 PM

That question is huge Abbie. I guess I would want no one to go to bed hungry. And please God, find a cure for what ails us all, both physically and mentally. Greed is a terrible thing.

And would you all send us some positive thoughts that our flights go as planned tomorrow...we miss our Cassie. Have had a wonderful time with the Moi's who send their love to all...I'll be posting pic's on fb when we are home...don't know how to do it here. :o

Abbie 12-13-2010 06:34 PM

I know it's a huge question... and everyone here has had amazing answers. Though none have surprised me. :)

My heart has been warmed with each little word.

Speaking of warm...it's not here... Mrs. Alffe... you and Mr. Alffe.. .please be careful if you are headed home... My parents headed north today and it took them about 6 hours to get to sis's which is only a 3 1/2 hour drive any other time.

thelonely1 12-13-2010 06:57 PM

I'm the same as you Abbie, I still drive my parents crazy because I never know what to ask for. The things I want can't be bought with money...

Nik-key 12-13-2010 10:13 PM

What a great thought provoking thread ((Abbie))

If I could have anything I would have to ask for two things and it is the same two things I wish for every single day.....

The first is, I wish for a cure for Alzheimer's. I wish there was a way to have "my" Lynn back. I would give anything for just a few moments to communicate and connect with him again ♥

The second is of course the wish to have my Dad still with us....
I would also wish for a cure for depression.... And for hope for all those who are suffering. I would wish for no one else to ever feel the need to choose suicide .........

Addy 12-13-2010 10:18 PM

(((Nik-key)))) so good to see you

Wren 12-13-2010 10:20 PM

Nik-key Nik-key Nik-key !!! It's so good to "see" you.
Thanks for coming in :hug::hug::hug:

pooh_ac 12-13-2010 10:39 PM

Hmmm.....I would wish for pain relief for my friends, a cure for depression, to hold my daughters that are angels, peace on earth, end to hunger and disease.

Burntmarshmallow 12-16-2010 02:50 PM

I wish that everyone wishes could really come true. :grouphug:

tamiloo 12-16-2010 04:16 PM

LOL... Not surprised... If I was a physically able.. I would be right there with you!!!

I remember watching rollerderby on television when I was a kid. I always wanted to be the scorer... or maybe a blocker.

Addy 12-17-2010 12:52 PM

Oh gosh, roller derby... not me... I'm such a whimp... not aggressive at all....
