Starting a new thread is on my plate at the moment..... Laundry, baking and cleaning house most of the day..... Its nice to have the house to myself for the day. :) :) :) i feel like i get so much more done.

As soon as it gets dark we are getting into the hot tub...looking for that moon, which shouldn't be hard to miss if all the hype is correct. :D

We are in Indianapolis, came down yesterday to surprise our family..owed them a suprise after them "getting" us on Chistmas day with an unexpected visit...did that make any sense??? Our grandaughters Marine husband is being deployed again and I needed to hug him goodbye.

Going to Shapiro's for lunch before driving home and picking up Cassie.

I'm hoping sleep is on my plate... hehe.. ya right... I don't think I could sleep even if someone hit me in the head with a ball bat.:Yawn:

:D I have less on my plate today than I did yesterday. That's gotta be a good thing anytime I reckon. The couple who bought the house here in January have bought another house today. :wink: Oh to be so fortunate. So I've been told I can stay as long as I wish because they're going to stay here for 3 months and then move to the new house and rent out the back house. Oh boy, it's been a jack-hammering, tree-chopping, hedge-chopping nightmare, but I feel much more mentally stable tonight.

I have trouble just getting out to shop, let alone move on my own.

Today I need to get a haircut..am beginning to look like a basketball and also need to go grocery shopping...defrosted the chest freezer overnite and need to start refilling it.

Ah... today I am doing lots better....

I'm doing some writing... just a bit... but enough to help me sort out what helps and what doesn't help...

when my world seems to start crumbling around me....

I do more thinking than actual writing (except here) ... and if I had it in me, I'd figure out to find all my previous posts over the years... cuz I think they'd speak volumes...

I'm motivated, once again, to do one of things that I know best - and that's to sell on eBay ...
I have hauled my "stock" (3 rubbermaid totes full of knitting/crocheting patterns/mags; sewing + knitting supplies; vintage pieces... all things I've collected on my thrift store and cleaning adventures ... um, can't remember if I ever shared with you all that I cleaned an actual hoarder's home a few years ago - and was also paid in whatever craft stuff I wanted to keep... ) around for quite awhile!

I think I hauled it around because I always knew I'd need it to fall back on one day.

I'm still figuring out what I wanna be when I grow up.... does that EVER get stop?!!! :eek:

today biting nails.....Scott is taking his drivers license test today. Rick is taking him as i have a dentist appt at the exact same time. then right after that an appt with my psychologist.

From where I sit, I see my siamese grooming himself. He's outside my patio door sitting on a sunlit cushion... I love how he closes his eyes with his face towards the sun... cats just seem to know how it pleases us humans to see them enjoy simple pleasures!

Oh... and now he's at my lap.... I must have been daydreaming for a bit...

Today is a good day.

Wasn't Elizabeth Taylor just the most beautiful young lady.... I think she walked a path very few could ever understand ... she was a pioneer... testing the waters and continually re-inventing herself...

I'm not so sure whether that was a bad thing or a good thing...

I guess what remains important.... as always... for the most part, was she happy?

I am very afraid for the people of Japan. I wish the whole world would just "be as one" and help each other..... sigh....

Did Scott get his license?

Lucky, lucky me. I have Otto (my daughter's paralyzed mini-dachsund) from now until Tuesday. She, son-in-law, and granddoody are taking a much needed visit/vacation to their friends in Madison. I'm glad because both of them (mommy and daddy) are having rough patches emotionally and physically. Sigh.

Also trying to figure out why the heck my recent annual statement from Social Security shows my estimated future payouts have gone DOWN since last year. WTH? Shouldn't SS retirement benefits go up each year that you work? :mad: :p

I did manage to remind myself of a couple of small blessings in my life. Gotta keep doing that every day lest me go crazy. :D

Oooh, just watched a flock of geese go very low over my house! So beautiful. I wanna be a canadian goose too. :)

Addy I really liked what you said about Eliz.Taylor...was she happy is the most important thing. We all have to live with the choices we make..some more life changing than others.

I have such admiration for the people in Japan who had no choice at all in what they are living with. :(

Mr.Alffe took me up to Three Oaks http://www.harborcountry.org/threeoaks/

for lunch and we were shocked along the drive to find a crowd of people and fire trucks at the old Wagner Dairy farm...house had burned in what must have been a raging fire..it was empty and the whole farm had been sold to a developer that had very ambitous plans for a new community ...and then the bottom fell out of the mkt. Sad to see that charred landmark. Have to wonder if it was arson.

sheeeezh. I wonder what comes next. I'm tired and sad and sick of doctors. And on this planet there's not one single person I can talk to - so I whine on a computer - lol

Isn't that what computers are for...whinning..oh, no..that's facebook. :D

I won't be home tomorrow morning.... back to the dermatologist so he can remove the stitches from my nose ... the end of my nose.
Then he's going to inspect me - my entire body - every inch.

7:30 AM, April 18 I go into the city for surgery to remove the trichilemnal carcinoma (lol - let's see you spell that). Skin surgery with the Mohs method takes all day. All day!! And, get this, I have to take a bag lunch!!!

I thought it was maybe a basal thing but it's the rare trichiemnal stuff. I'm always rare ........ that brain tumor was rare.

I'm tired of being rare

I still am dog sitting Otto but he goes home today. Minus the numerous accidents :rolleyes: we've been getting along just fine.

See my therapist at 2 today so that's good.

Planning on a cathartic experience today by watching The Secret Life of Bees (Ms. Alffe, if you haven't seen this one, I think you'd like it.)

And there's a BIG FAT Robin hopping around outside the window right now, lol. Think I'll watch her for a few, then down to watch the movie. :)

My plate this last while has been quite full... I've been faithfully listing on eBay and had a cleaning job today (I thought it would kill me and it didn't!!) - so for 3 hours every week, I have a job!... seriously good money and maybe if I can handle it physically, I'll try to get a few more "clients". BABY STEP REMINDER ADDY!!!!!!

Also helped a girlfriend move 2 carloads to her new place... whew...

now sitting with the news on... laptop on... dinner done ... cat meowing.....and a much more cleared up head than I had 2 weeks ago...
