the cruelty of taking a drug adoctor put me on 10 years ago...

No you should not be taken off opiates all at once. That is cruel and I know you feel horrible physically and mentally. I was in columbia mo. for many years. Go to another Dr. Go to columbia university med center. It is a two hour drive from St. Joseph I think. You need another opinion as you are suffering. Dr.s get afraid sometimes of giving medications, especially drs. who practice in small communities. My pain dr. lowered my meds slowly, and I did just fine. I am on very little right now, and the last six months was fine. Hope this whole thing works out better for you. Ginnie ( I received 15 years of help at the institution I mentioned, Mayo clinic sent me there for treatment for auto immune disorder.)

Is it the doctors or the insurance companies who want to take away the drug?

Go to another doctor as soon as possible. They tried to do that to me after 10 years of taking Valium,then Librium,then Ativan. I started to really become unglued rapidly. They put me back on Ativan,and changed me to Xanax.

I don't know you,but if you are diagnosed with anxiety disorders, you should be treated with medication. I have OCD,Panic disorder,and another disorder.

I'm on Xanax,Luvox,and seroquel. You may be under-medicated,and the doctors failing to help you. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I really do feel you. I know people can be mean, especially when they do not know you. Laughing at your demise isn't nice at all. I take meds too, and would feel the same way if it happened to me. Let me know if you want help in getting to columbia, Where are you in relationship to Blackwater? Would your dr. give you a referal? What was the reason you were taken off the meds to begin with? I am also in St Joseph, Mo & my dr. did the same thing to me... I was on Ambien for 10 yrs......she told me not to find a psyciatrist , that she would continue to prescribe the Ambien... Now she wont give me a referall !

Guess what.... The very next month, she decides i need trazadone because Ambien was addicting... I am also very angry. :mad:

As soon as i get this SCS implant done I am finding a new dr. These doctors are so egotistical .. They need to think about the patient.

the psychiatrist in this town and most of the doctors are in the big heart less hospital... its a monopoly - I thought monopolies where unlawful, we have been given no other choice!

Make telliphone calls. Call anyone in the medical field that you can. I have even left a note on the door of a mental health center,when I wasn't getting help from my doctor. Sometimes they just can't hear,and forget that you are suffering.

If they only understood the torment. They don't seem to understand sometimes.

Don't go this alone. Ask for help,and referrals. Let them know how much you are suffering. Cry out!

You may get help by calling your states Mental Health hotline. I get help from my states Mental Health System. They have supervisors. BF:hug::hug::hug:

today - was exhausting as the er doc when he gave me 10 days worth of
klonopin gave me - BUSPAR - welll there were bad side effects...
once again i thought the er could help, but i was wrong, ???????????????
never will i go to this one horse towns er, hospital, they are not educated in "Parkinsonian illness" -

I read this thread and it SO angers me that this is happening all too much! :mad:
I just don't understand WHY it seems to be such a 'crime' to take Benzo's if they truly help a person! They are here for a reason!!
Why does the medical field make it out to be so 'bad'.......when they've been around forEVER!
Instead, they'd rather put us on something 'new' with terrible side effects.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this.

I agree - it's obvious the medical field is getting more screwed up by the day.
