Hmmmm

Quiet here on the homefront..... Have been mainly lurking check the boards daily but not much in the place to chat...:(... Had my SI joint injected Wed, worked in surgery Thurs and today. Have the weekend off, not sure if that is good or bad:confused: Work the floor Mon, Surgery every day the rest of the week. Pain doc gave me lido patches, wants to try to change my programs again to try to hit my SI and the heel and my big toe:confused: on my left side. Willing to try bout anything at this point to cut the pain down even more.
well
:hug:z

Hugging you Pooh!

Reach out from afar
hugs come with no bar
preventing their way
to brighten your day.
Though pain has been bad
your words make me glad
to know doc gives you help
try to return you to health.
Your work is so hard
and pain no reward
to have at day's end
just wish we could fend
it away from your bod.
Just know with a nod
you have prayers from me
lift to heaven for thee
as rest time draws near
may your mind know so clear
that lurk though you might
you are still in our sight.

Caring a lot for you my friend! I understand the pain, the hope that another tweak will work, and the relief that yoru doc is working with you to manage the pain with all means at their disposal. It is SO TRUE and so very well documented in the journals, the white papers, the hardware literature that a 50% pain reduction is considered good success. Thus, it is with proper recognition that your doc provides a script for the meds which are necessary to handle the balance of that pain equation.

If we could but encourage ALL doctors who are to be caregivers to read the words on your thread and KNOW by recognition that 50% pain relief leaves a good deal to handle in the body of anyone so affected. I would write an article for a medical journal, instead, I think this will have to go in my book which is long underway.

Be well Pooh, and know that your fellow butt buzzers are hugging you:grouphug:

Nope, nobodys home. Still recovering from that BBQ! Party

Mark56 04-08-2011 10:51 PM

Hey Pooh!! We are Home, Come on over!!

We are here Pooh, it has seemed a bit quiet here. Kinda like spring fever bit everyone and they left their computers and went outdoors. It has been VERY Springlike here the last several days, and today, Cleo and I played hooky, went out, and stayed out for a while...... nice day.

Give us a high five :highfive: and chime in about your week!! I know you have had some hard days, especially given your work out there, not to mention cleaning up after all of us gathering at your place for the BBQ last weekend.:partytime2: But thank you for hosting all of us. I think Saffy's place is next, then maybe we oughta head off to Aussiemom's, where we could see some unusual things like kangaroos and such......

So here we are! Wanna talk?

Hi POOH!:hug:z

aussiemom 04-09-2011 08:22 PM

Uh, Mark? I'm not in Australia nor am I from there. I was owned by an Australian Shepherd Dog for 14 1/2 years. He was Wolfgang Amadoggus, aka Vulfie.

I really am in sunny, hot and sticky central SW Florida. If you want funny sights to see, Clearwater Beach is the best place. The snowbirds are still here, as are the collage spring breakers. None respect the sun, all look like lobsters. But they will go home soon, and we can get on with our own brand of crazies. I am one block from the Gulf.

Tell us about your area?

Oh Gawrsh Barb:Oops:, I had not looked at your location profile, and just wrote off of your handle. I am truly guilty of DUH!! Sorry!! Florida..... we have a condo down thereabouts.

We hail from Colorado, the land of high plains, high mountains and desert. Been pretty dry here! We are ever hoping for moisture as we are down by 2/3 below normal.

I envy your location, thinking you probably have some amazing sunsets! Next BBQ at your place and we will have to bring our boat!

King of DUH:Crazy 2:

Once again I ponder the quietness of this site. I figure those of u "across the pond" are focusing on the upcoming nupituals:).:)Rrae is taking care of herself and her families issues. I am just doing my thing and trying to rest on my days off to be ready for the next day "on",
Anywho just give us a holler to let us know u are all ok
:grouphug::grouphug::hug:z:hug:z:hug:z

Mark56 04-27-2011 10:06 PM

That makes me smile in remembrance!!

One time when it became a little quiet here last Autumn and I was dealing with significant "stuff" I went offline for a while. Well, Rrae in her "HEY, WHERE ARE YOU?" way, sent me a message asking that I holler. My reply, a single word "HOLLER" so thank you, Pooh for stirring us all up to "git on here and communicate."

I too appreciate you Pooh! It does sorta seem as tho we've kind of settled into our buzzers and have less to talk about.....but thanks to you for keeping us stirred! I automatically come straight to this forum when I log on to NT and invariable my heart sinks a bit when I see nothing 'new' from anyone!

But OH MY! .... I'm surprised you have the guts to bring this up! :p The LAST time you did this, you had umpteen Buzzing Buddies flopping around your pond! :D ...... and I STILL have yet to find my OTHER Ruby slipper!!

Pooh:hug:please mark me in as 'present';) and about time too I hear you say

Im here:D yep am 'across the pond' and well kinda looking forward to the 'royal wedding' .....I live in Ireland so can take it or leave it.

Im sorry I havent been on so much lately, but as my daughter is still on maternity leave she calls everyday....but she goes back on Tues 3rd May so Im baby minding then:eek:I know I know....take it easy blah blah blah.....thats all Im hearing, but I do have my lovely hubby to lend a hand for a week or two to see how I 'fair' out!!!!

Had a tweaking session on Tuesday....well how do I put it.......:confused:Ive THREE new programmes and well, errr, emmmmmm, I can just about use one of those. You know at the time it was great while I was there. I stood up and my Rep tweaked me and ooooooh it felt divine....yep thats a good one I said, I can go walking a bit more without that dreaded dart from my butt to my shin bone......well thats what I thought.....she also gave me another two, one for sitting and another one....
While I was there I felt this 'pulling' in my upper back, now I did think it was maybe the way I go up out of the chair etc......so didnt pass any remark.....well now Ive realised that feeling is from the programme:eek::eek:yep......cant even begin to tell you how it feels!!!!!AWFUL would probably cover it....so Im back to my original programme...which incidently wasnt my favourite a few months back......

My Rep did say that I can come in again when she is back, probably in a month or so and have some more tweaking. Isnt it funny that when you are there it all seems 'ok' but once you get back to 'normality' and do your everyday stuff the flipping thing isnt any benefit at all AARRGGHHHHHH

Ok rant over ...

We have the most beautiful weather here in Ireland for the past two weeks, lets hope its not our actual SUMMER...its known to happen let me tell you!!!!

So its great to be out and about in the sunshine....

hope you all have a lovely day/evening

Jackie:hug:

ooops just been reprimanded about too many smilies :D

Mark56 04-29-2011 09:09 AM

Hi Jackie

So good to read your post and that you are minding the little one and helping with your daughter's maternity leave. That must be rewarding! And taxing on your strength... but for a good reason.

OMG some royal someone is getting married????:D:D No, I am not being disrespectful, just do not watch much on the tube, so I am a lax colonial I reckon.

AWWW gee whiz, you go in hopeful for a tweak that will bring peace and leave only to find real world experience doesn't fit it. Maybe in the tweak sessions, they should have you leave the exam room for a moment and do a couple real world movements to learn whether there are oddities to the tweak before wrapping up and flying back across the pond. So much better to "test" it before they leave than to have to wait a month before they return. I feel sad that you are back to an original programme now when you had such hope for the tweak to benefit you.

OHHHH enjoy your Irish springtime.... we will have to have a BBQ at your place so we can enjoy the emerald green and the contrasting beauty of the blossoms here and there!

May your day be better for you,
Prayerfully,
Mark56:hug::hug::hug::hug:zzzzz
