What time is lunch?

Just thinking. My grandparents ate lunch at EXACTLY the same time every day (excluding holidays and doctor's appointments). My Dad worked swing shift, so we never ate at the same time more than two days in a row.

I don't care what you call your "noon" meal--lunch, brunch, dinner, whatever--but do you eat at the same time every day? And if so when?

Depends on what time I get up in the morning. Sometimes after I have my coffee I'm just not hungry. I very rarely eat breakfast. I'll eat something (fruit, soup or maybe even popcorn) sometime after noon. From then I just nibble when I get hungry. Since I'm here by myself 99% of the time I don't fix "meals". Just eat when I get hungry.

I always eat a good breakfast and a good dinner. Have found no need for lunch. But, I do eat it on Wed since that is Group day.

I have a broken stomach so a schedule is very helpful. 8am is breakfast. 12 is lunch (even if its just a cup of soup) and 5 is dinner. we tend to have fruit or a snack about 7 if we are both up to it, but I need a completely empty stomach before I lay down or I am sick half the night.

I eat breakfast and lunch everyday. I think working has something to do with that. I would never make it through my 11:00 a.m. classes without having had breakfast. I don't always eat a regular dinner. Sometimes that is just a bagel with cheese or peanut butter, fruit, cheese, and crackers, or popcorn.

Lunch

Do you get to count cake, ice cream or coca cola as lunch???

When my husband was working he kept the meal times pretty strict, 11 AM for lunch and 5 PM for supper. Now that he is retired he is more leniant for the lunch but not the supper. The only change is on some Sundays where he likes to do ONE meal at 2 PM. We go to somewhere like Golden Corral. I hate that. It's not good for us nor does it keep me satisfied throughout the rest of the day. And if I get a snack in the evening he gets one with me:Bang-Head:

I have a bad habit of filling up on coffee and morning meds and skipping breakfast. Lunch is usually whatever leftovers are in the fridge when I get hungry, somewhere around 2-3, then I am not hungry at "dinner" time. We all eat on a different schedule here. Dh2b doesn't get homefrom work until after 9pm, DD usually wants to eat around 6, and I don't normally get hungry if I eat lunch until 8 or so.

Except Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. The school schedue has allowed dh2b to be home for dinner those nights so we usually have a family meal around 6. Of course the weather has thrown us all off schedule lately. DD wants to have a snack and then stay outside and play until it starts to get dark. I have to threaten to beat her to get her to come in and eat.

I don't eat lunch at an exact time. It all depends on how hungry I am or whether I am napping at "lunch time."
