DD id having her sleepover tomorrow since she was gone last weekend for her birthday. I have 3 children coming. I need to go clean all of my arts and crafts stuff out of the older DD's room so they can have the bed.

I also need to clean the rest of the house and make it at least somewhat presentable. And I need to get on DD about cleaning her room up.

And I swear to you the only thing i have accomplished today is 2 cups of coffee and brushing the dogs so they will stop slinging hair everywhere.

And tomorrow, I have kids... hot dogs on the grill, a game on the kinect, a makeup station, and probably some kind of craft for mother's day for the kids. Then bedtime and sunday it is up bright and early for muffin baking before the kids leave.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, I have to go to the store today too.

I swear I get exhausted just thinking about all of it. Let's not forget dry cleaning pick up for Dh2B and getting the clothes together because monday I get to find a laundrymat while I continue to wait for my SSDI check. Because the washer is officially dead. The tub was cracked. There is no fixing it.

I just wish I had a pause button some days.

I have some plastic spoons you can have. I'm currently using my stainless steel spoons in the afternoons trying to make myself walk on a treadmill for at least 20 mins. (gone 10 days in a row so far. Today will be 11days if I get off my lazy butt)

We dont have any good silver spoons, so that must be why I'm only good for about 20 minutes on the treadmill.

Legzz, let DD and DH2B help. You might have to spell it out for them until they get the hang of it but I'd start letting them become involved in helping you. If you're trying to do it all yourself and not accepting help from anyone they'll never have the chance to pitch in. And this can make them feel better about themselves, too. Most kids love to feel like they're making a positive difference. They just don't always know what will help us the most. So we have to take the lead and show them....then let them take the initiative and help. DH2B might be a different story. He really should know by now what you need help with and what will make your life easier.

my spoons are old and tarnished. a few have bent handles cause my sister tried to use them for black tar heroin, but I got them back. My son used a few to dig in the dirt to hunt for treasure, and a few are mis matched. I have no idea how I got spoons with flat handles, when mine have a lovely rose pattern on them. So, grab a handful. Im done for the day, and you can have what I didnt use. :hug:

I'll give you some of mine. I have a stomach thing today so I know I won't be using all my spoons for today. I mean really, how many spoons can you use laying in bed or on the couch watching tv or playing on the computer. But you have to return them tomorrow - unscathed! :D I need them to get DD19s room ready for when she comes home from the dorm on Monday.;):p

Today so far... I accomplished.... a nap. Yup. That's about as far as I got. LOL

I will be running around like a madman here in a few minutes. But I really really needed a nap. So I took one.

I will get DD from the bus, and we will go to get the drycleaning and hit the grocery store where I will pick up something simple for dinner tonight and hot dogs for tomorrow.

I am putting off the laundry, DD will be in charge of her bathroom and bedroom, I will pack up all of the stuff on other DDs bed and put it in a box in the closet and deal with it later.

Dishes, and a quick vaccuum in the living room. Yes, there is major cleaning that neds to be done, but seriously, my house is going to be invaded by little people who are here to make a mess so why bother?

Exactly! So don't kill yourself trying to get that perfectly clean house. It'll be a mess once the kids run through it.

I used to clean like crazy before a party or even having my niece and nephews over. It was dumb! Within a matter of 5 minutes my house would look like a tornado hit. Plus, the floors "looked" ok before the party but I still cleaned them. Of course, that is where the first spill always occurs. LOL

So I went to get the dry cleaning and grocery store is done. And of course my ac compressor froze up while I was gone and decided to blow hot air for the last 2 hours while i was gone. It is 10 degrees hotter inside than it is outside.

May I have my spoons back now? I'm whipped.:thud:

LOL. I was going to ask her the same thing. My spoons were only on loan to her for yesterday. Today doesn't count. I have things I want to do and need my spoons.

So . . . who's going to loan Legz some spoons today? She needs at least 72 spoons in total to get her through the next few days. That's 1 spoon an hour. She is accepting donations at legzneedspoons.com. :D

Oh I ran out of everyones spoons about 4 hours ago. I got a quick recharge when dh2b got home from work and I snuck next door with a plate of brownies and 10 minutes of grown up talk.

Those are gone now too. Kids 1&2 showed up around 1 today. Kid #3 got here at 4. Yes I told the parents yo bring them at 5. By 5 I was already frazzled. We made jewelry cooked out roasted marshmallows watched movies had popcorn did makeup and nails baked brownies open gifts ran around like crazy now its late night movie before bed.

Mommy is in pain. And I have vowed to never do this again.

Darn, I was going to ask for my plastic spoons back. I have a date tomorrow and all my latest MS symptoms came screaming back yesterday. (numb as hell, limping, feeling like I wanna fall down...back pain)

Whew! its my turn! I am almost completely spoonless, and we have an out of state trip for MIL and Mothers Day today. I dont want to disappoint my kids, or my MIL so I will suck it up and go, but holy cow I am going to sleep on the ride down, and on the ride back. zzzzzzz....

I had a case of the heavy head on the ride down. told DH I simply couldnt stay awake, please, please let me sleep. I snored LOUD I guess. I slept for about an hour of the trip. I was heavy headed and yawning thru lunch and family visits. I had a cup of strong tea, but that didnt help. I also slept on the ride home. its an early night for me. Im off to shower, and lay down. I cant keep my eyes open.

I bought a flower made from spoons and metal wrought iron at a arts festival a few weeks ago that you put in your yard. The artist told me I would eventually need to spray it or it would rust. Guess what? Three weeks later there are little rust spots on all of the spoons. I think I will just let it rust.:rolleyes:

my date wasnt too bad. Ended up going to WalMart with him to buy my mom a mommy's day present. Which turned out great. Got her a stuffed monkey, some candy, and a silk flower arrangement that looks like her favorite flower. Then we went back to my house and my dad cooked steaks in the driveway on the portable grill, and then watched Warehouse 13 on my tv downstairs. Not too bad a date. At least I got to hang around with the boyfriend for a while and just relax.

Walking thru WalMart was hard. After all that physical therapy I did the past 2 months, and then the treadmill walking I'd been doing, trying to get back into shape...didnt help me any when I started feeling like I was sinking into the floor. I really really hate the whole weak leg thing when it happens. I was told that if I exercise, walk on the treadmill, that I'd be able to get rid of Stickee (my cane...yes, I named it. Dont laugh...much :D) and here I am, still dragging Stickee around with me...which is getting really old. I'm sure I need to be a bit more patient, but it's driving me nuts.

Nope. I am giving up.
Got rid of kids then decided to go surprise my mom who was having a rotten day at work. Then I decided since I was already 50 miles from home I would go meet my friends twin girls. The first time ever that a baby didn't like me. They both decided they didn't like me.

Then I drove back home where I find dh2b is home early from work. He was trying to surprise me. Ha ha. Surprise! Then I told him he was buying me chinese for dinner and I went to take a nap.

Dd woke me up sometime after 8. And I ate and then I took my meds and headed back to bed after tucking dd in.

And then....
Wwhhaahh!! Dd gets sick. Was up all night. Supposed to go to beach with my mom today. Instead I have a sick kid and a worn out me who is not feeling so hot either.

Ugh. I am too busy to have ms. Can I please trade for what's behind door #2?
