Squash rolls are rising..it's raining so I'm glad I got the grass cut yesterday.
We are going to Chicago tomorrow, lunch at the Art Institute with sil and then Mr.Alffe & I are going to the taping of "Wait Wait"...that very clever NPR show that aires every Sat.morning at 11:00..home on Friday so Cassie won't be boarded very long...although she loves it having lived most of her life before she rescued us, in a cage. *grin

The book "Legend of a Suicide" arrived this morning and I'm going to hit the couch with it...I didn't realize it was fiction based on the author losing his father to suicide...it got rave reviews...thank you again Lara for the link.

On Monday I am having an MRI of my brain...dr. wants to rule out a tumor.

Working feverishly on my bucket list. :D

today..... hmmmmmm its started last night with a hail storm and high winds, tree limbs everywhere..... no electric till around midnight... got to bed about 1. phone call from the place my FIL lives at 4:00, he fell and cracked his eyebrow a good one... alot of blood :( had to take him to the ER. got home around 8:00 jumped in the shower and was at work by 10:00. just got home.... fixing supper then trying to clean up the yard.... LOL hopefully an early bed time..... :rolleyes:

Oh that's awful goofy...so sorry about your fil. Crazy weather everywhere...be safe. :hug:

p.s. I just wrote that I had too much on my plate. That's wrong.
I realized a very, very, very long time ago that no matter what it's never really too much even though it may feel that way for a moment or a day, or a week. It's all a cycle and will work out in the end. I hope ;) lol

Good morning all... geesh, Alffeeeee... please let us know asap what's up with your MRI.. man, I hate getting old(er)...

I've got a bit of a stomach bug today which resulted in me staying home and laying low... I may lay by the pool and swim but we'll first see if my tummy settles.. its chorus rehearsal night so I hope I can go!

I'm saving for a camping vacation with my little Grand-Addy and her momma (in August) ... everything is booked and I'm so excited! My sis will be there with her daughter and Grand-Sparkles :) and we will be in heaven! She and I love being together with our little offspring ... so lucky!

Not trying to be mysterious Addy. I'm in a very frightening place right now. The mri was normal and my dr. is sending me for cognitive testing as she suspects that I have altz/dementia. She prescribed aricep:rolleyes:t.

I have a lot of pride..too much pride for my own good. It embarrasses me when I can't make change, don't know the answers to things I know, telling myself to just take one day at a time but my hands are shaking as I type this.

What's on your plate?

I have vegemite toast to start with, but then I need to finish the washing. I have my washing machine working at last and it's like a new toy really. No more sore wrists from wringing.

My daughter is coming for a few days so I'm really looking forward to that. I need to move the cat off the end of my bed so I can do all the linen today while the sun is shining.

I probably will catch a quick nap this afternoon as I was up very late last night (and a few other nights before that) watching the tennis at Wimbledon. One of those time zone things. lol

If I feel up to it later I'll go do a surf check and a whale check on the headland. I thought I saw something the other day, but I think I need new glasses. :cool:

meeting some friends from junior high for an early lunch then Rebecca has her wisdom teeth out today at 2:00.... should be an interesting afternoon :rolleyes:

I just looked at the webcam... lol... its dark! silly time zones! lol :p

I don't know why they say you can't catch up on your sleep because that's what I feel I'm doing today.... after another Grand-Addy visit! She's almost 3 now... and I've never been so much in love!!

Not much on my plate today ... visit a friend, swim (read: exercise) in the pool.. and ok, clean the house a bit.

WOW.... just watched a couple of kite surfers in Aussie Land!!! Too Cool!! The surf is up, the sky's a little cloudy...but the guys are having fun!!!

I just looked at it too.... that is just to cool..... dont think i'd want to try kite surfing, but its fun to watch :)
