What 's The 1ST Thing You'd Do?
Say you awakened tomorrow, after a great night's sleep and your MS/Disease is completely gone and you never felt better....What is the very first thing you would do?
I would get dressed to kill and jump into my minivan and rush to my Church, get down on my knees and thank God for the gift....Then, jump back into my minivan and drive all around town. familiarizing myself with all my favorite places that, I haven't seen in the years I've been ill.:yahoo: I'd stop at the park and "walk" around the lake, watching the ducks and birds and listening to the children laugh and play.:Trapeze 2:. I would wait until DD was home from work, her DH and my Grands are all there, and then take a very large bag of their favorite Taco Bell goodies and drop in to surprise the he!! out of them. Then, I would go home sit down and plan all my adventures, in my new, stress filled, life..:D:p:cool: What's the very 1st thing you would do?? |
I would first of all say a prayer of gratitude. Then I would get my sneakers on and head for downtown Chicago and walk up and down the streets, enjoying this very simple activity (now that my legs would be normal). It would be a wonderful experience, because I wouldn't get stiff or tired.
Thank the Lord!!!
First I would thank the Lord and then go running in the park with my dog.:)
I to would say a prayer:smileypray: Then, I would walk everyday...not feeling so exhausted or off balance. Life would be better :yahoo::Dancing-Chilli::Grin-Nod:
I'd walk through the woods to the waterfall, then go home and jump in my pool, then off to the grocery store then home to cook stuff I bought. And then......
Say a prayer of thanks.......then I'd cut the grass in 90 degree heat! :D
Get down on my knees and thank God, then go walk around the lake again.
Start to taper off these pain medications immediately.
If it were winter....I'd go ice skating.
If it were summer....I'd go roller skating. Then I'd jump in my car and drive......just drive |
Book a trip to Ireland and then go for a long walk.
Roller skate!!! :D:D:D That is really the very first thing that popped in my head. Maybe if the MS is gone I would think more clearly about this, lol.
i'd go to the mall and walk around all the stores.
then i'd give my scooter away to someone who really needs it. |
Ya beat me to the punch, Judy. I'll go you one better and donate my MiniVan with lift and scooter to someone in need.:)
I'd go for a long bushwalk, then when I got back home have a HOT bubble BATH with a glass of sweet white wine!!! :)
I would call up all my girlfriends, go nightclubbing and dance all night long - who cares that I would look like mutton-done-up-as-lamb and be the oldest one on the dancefloor??? Not me, that would be other people's problem!
Once upon a time, I had rhythm - and I want it back! :D |
I would finally travel! I retired early to be able to travel. I spent NO money during our lean years, tucking it all away for our early retirement and to be able to travel. See all the sights this world has to offer. look at the pyramids, look at the grand canyon, look at mt rushmore, look at sunsets on the other coast, and then...about six months after I retired, I started with the MS stuff. Optic nerve stuff kicks me the hardest. I cant watch TV, do video games, read, knit, sew, or do anything that requires visual accuity. So, how will I ever see the sunset over the GC? how will I see the tajmahol? how will I see mt rushmore? So, I would like my vision back please! I would like to be able to see the world around me again.
So...travel. the first thing I would do is book a flight out of here. |
I am pathetic, the first thing I would do is apply for long term care insurance! After that I would do some traveling with my husband and dogs. :) Great thread Sally.
