Anyone have a tremor?

I was just curious if anyone else had a tremor. I have a tremor in my hands that comes and goes. I cant remember when it came on, but started to notice it about a month after my accident. This is also when i was started on Celexa and nortriptyline and not sure if this is a side effect of the medications or part of my PCS. My doctors think it is a side effect of the meds. I'm a little worried about it since i go back to work in 2 weeks as an ICU nurse and worried about inserting IVs or giving subcutaneous injections. And also really hoping that my patients and my coworkers dont notice it!

I have tremors from time to time but they are usually related to stress. It can be external emotional stress like conflict or it can be physical stress like when trying to complete a manual task.

If I work at relaxing, I can cause it to go away faster.

I experience the same as Mark. If I concentrate on relaxing, it goes away. I've dropped a few cups of my morning coffee because of it :(

Red733, Yes, the aneurysm you had would be a considered a traumatic brain inury. There are basically two kinds of TBIs...External and Internal, yours being caused by an event inside the brain (stroke, aneurysm and such). External brain injuries are caused by a direct impact or by acceleration force to the head from such as falling and hitting your head, auto accident, being hit in the head, whip-lash, impact blasts, etc...

Regardless of how we come to have a TBI, we share many common symptoms and distractions.

Although, I haven't had the ability to break-dance :Dancing-Chilli: YET!!! :ROTFLMAO:

I do notice that they come on more if Im anxious or in a social situation or stressed about something. Also when i get my dizzy episodes, they always come on. Glad to know others have similar issues so that i know its most likely the PCS as opposed to the meds. The meds work good for my headache symptoms so i dont want the tremor to be the reason i stop taking them. Thanks to all of you for your responses!

I'm not sure if what I experienced was a tremor, but I woke up in the middle of my sleep last night and I noticed my legs were vibrating like crazy, like if there was a construction site going on under my floor (which I can tell you there wasn't)

In the very beginning of my concussion I would shake like crazy after stress. Like I was out in the winter without a coat. I could not stop shaking and it would last a good ten minutes.

I've noticed this doing physical tasks. I used to have rock solid hands and grip, and since being assaulted I've noticed my hands shake when doing even the simplest things, like drinking from a cup.

SI33,

Tremors can be caused by a malfunctioning adrenal system. PCS subjects are often plagued with roller coaster adrenal functions. Very minimal stresses can cause an over-reaction.

My daughter also experienced tremors after her concussion. They start about a month into it and would appear when she was stressed out. The more stressed out she was the worse it would. For the most part (20 months later) - these are gone. I only see them now in extreme stress, now.

Good to hear of her improvement. :)

I had the tremors for the first few months after my concussion. I think Mark's point about the adrenals malfunctioning was accurate in my case. I rarely get them now unless I am very sick or stressed.

The human body never ceases to amaze me! :)

Tremors

Hi,

I get tremors when I am tired or have had too much stimulus (usually from background noise but also from bright lights). Had really bad episode when a police car passed me and turned on the siren to get through an intersection. Took almost an hour to relax enough for the tremors to subside and to be able to focus again. Hope this helps.

Yes I have them also. They come and go. At times it has made eating harder. What bothers me most is how it has affected my writing.
