Husband awarded Disability
 

Just a note to let you all know we got a call Friday my husbands disability was approved and to let you know not to give up hope. Thanks to Don 1956 for all your help its been 11 months since our original date we applied he was denied 1 and we hired an attorney.
Thanks to all of you now he can get the help he desperatly needs.
We will be praying for all of you still waiting do not give up hope. Keep appealing. :hug:

Let us know what the award letter says about his disabilities and timeline for possible reviews.

Thanks Baby boomer and granny we know already it will be 7 yr review(they told us when they called) if then as you know my husband has a major blood clot in his leg and needs surgery on his hand asap (he has no blood flow in his lower leg whatsoever ) I pray u all get yours too. Keep your faith and keep appealing!!

That is awesome news! I am glad your hubby got what he needed.

my case was approved and now quality control has it and it is going on four months since my process starts I'm 35 with a messed up back no money no assistance and two kids. Any advice?

Were you approved for SSI or SSDI?
If you are represented by an attorney, ask him/her about the backlog in your state and what he/she can do to speed things up.

In the meantime while you are waiting, go to your local Social Service office & apply for welfare, food stamps, medicaid for your children and any other state or federal programs you can apply for.

Have you applied for food stamps??? And Medicaid??? Also check out your churchs they can help with rent-electric etc- That is ss for ya Do u have a lawyer??:eek:
