The roller coaster takes yet another dip...
I have to get off of this computer! While I was typing a reply to Majo, my puppy chewed up my grandson's athletic cup! :eek: Well, just the tip, but still...
:) I just have one bit of good news to report: I just received a call from the social worker, telling me that my husband is definitely being transferred to the new hospital this Thursday morning at nine o'clock! My husband is happy, even excited about it, so we are all hopeful! Ironically, I had gotten a special delivery letter yesterday morning saying that the commitment hearing was to take place at this new hospital at 2:00pm, so we'll see. If he's already admitted, perhaps it won't be necessary to make him involuntary. I have to look into that aspect of it. Well, need to go take care of things around the house!! |
Muahahahaha ! Sorry about the puppy thing ! You just made me realize how funny dogs are.... I still remember when my dog ate my dictionary.... :rolleyes: yeah.... I bet she was desperated for reading and learning english as she introduced her head into my school bag to reach the dictionary.... :o :rolleyes:
If you and hubby are happy Im happy :hug: Let's pray for the best things in this new hospital !!!! Keep us posted !!! |
That is very good news, Jacquie :)

Jacques
Please check on this. Because you don't want him transfered back after you don't go through with the committing him. I don't know what would happen. Interesting thoughts. Donna:grouphug: |

How about this: :Head-Spin:
Or this: :Dancing-Chilli: Or even this: :Head-Spin: :Dancing-Chilli: :Head-Spin: Well, today is the big day! My husband was able to speak with the Public Advocate yesterday, and they discussed voluntary vs. involuntary. Now that he will already be at the new facility, he doesn't think the hearing will be necessary, and he can sign himself in voluntarily. DH is probably already at the new facility. I told him to call me or have someone call me if there was still the possibility of a hearing, which had originally been scheduled for 2 pm this afternoon. I feel much better about this now. My intent was never to take away his rights or have him locked up in this place for a long period of time... I was merely trying to get him out of his present facility, where had has been for 2 whole months, and into this new one. Hopefully, they will review his meds and try to get him in better shape. There seems to be something missing, so I hope they can figure it out. I was in such conflict yesterday after the discussions here on the forum that I had lower intestinal pains all day long. It's a bit better today, but I haven't eaten anything yet... It's another stormy, rainy day today. Part of our yard is covered with water. It has no place to go, since we had about 8 inches of rain since Sunday .... ...ENOUGH ALREADY! I will keep you all posted and, again, thank you for your help and support :heartthrob: You all have been a big, big help :grouphug: |
Hope things with the change go good.
Sending hugs. Donna:hug::grouphug: |
here is hoping to a brite future for hubby and you both. am hoping that your tummy settles down after a bit.
things are finally headed in the direction that you want. I am happy for you today! bizi:hug: |
I'm really glad to see this news Jacquie!
i too would not want to be "committed" in order to get better meds... and the whole situation becoming a legal process was sounding scary. it sounds a lot simpler now. i am wondering if that first hospital was not trying to milk you guys / insurance for money by making it appear hard to get out... sounds like the advocate got things straightened out. would still like to hear back, get confirmation from you, that hubby is "safely" ;) checked in as voluntary in the new facility - which i take it you have checked out somewhat, and have reasons to place trust/hope in them. i hope your tummy settles down. i find that plain baked potato is soothing and decent sustenance when mine is upset, if you are looking for something mild to "test" with... (((hugs))) ~ waves ~ |
Thanks, waves, for the potato tip :D . My daughter-in-law made rice lst night, and I mostly ate that with just a few cooked veggies thrown in!
:DI think my tummy will settle down now that I have the GOOD news I've been waiting for... I'm gonna tease you and make you look at my new thread :):D:). |
