What are we like!!!

You know what Mark, I think too many people missed this one, how about next Mar 17th we dress someone's back garden here in the auld sod of the Enerald Isle with lots of St Patrick's Day greenery and have that might party. This is plenty of notice! Lots of ribs, some of that yummy sounding potato salad and lots of Booze, I can bring my deadly BBQ sauce cause it's just too yummy.

Scotty will beam us anywhere!

What ya think.

It might a good idea to ask Jenna about her garden!

If only we could huh?!

Later alligators

Sinead

Rrae 09-18-2011 03:28 PM

Absolutely!!

Love the idea!! .....
think I'll bring a pickup load of these ->>> http://dl10.glitter-graphics.net/pub...ms7rwf9o1a.jpg

Perfect for the garden, yes?

Mark56 09-19-2011 10:25 AM

I say......

Poifect, just absolutely Poifect!! AND with BBQ sauce, Sinead's killer recipe, and plenty of those pink birdies Rae will bring, of course they might be hard to eat if they are the plastic ones.....

Yup, Mark56:D

Rrae 09-19-2011 08:34 PM

Ahhh, but Mark, they are for the GARDEN you see. :D
YARD ornaments! Around my parts, we used to play silly tricks on people while they slept. They'd wake up in the morning only to find their yard full of these!
ok, so this was many years ago and I've gained a LITTLE bit of maturity since then..........or have i ?

Mark56 09-19-2011 09:28 PM

Oh the Crime of It

Just when I was whetting my appetite for a little flamingo...... thinking you must be raising a crop of them out there in Toto land! Of course, if you were, you could probly sell the feathers on the market for Mardi Gras outfits down New Orleans way....... So, instead you have decorated folks lawns with plastic ones instead, eh? That would be nifty, awakening of a morning to find hundreds of pink flamingoes on one's lawn..... kinda like Cleo's elder sister, who, when in high school was on the decorations program for Prom in her junior year so long ago. The budget was tight. So she and friends raided the local cemetery and borrowed all of the plastic flowers. Did she get caught????? Hmmmmm...... should I tell you? Yep, sheriff and all. A bit of stern conversation followed as I understand.

So did you ever dabble in smilies on a lawn? That could be funny especially for a grouchy neighbor sort.

To quote Data.... "Humor.... Ah, a human emotion!"
Isn't it wonderful indeed?

I will definitely bring some Potcheen to the shindig!!!!and on St Paddys day too.......PERFECT!!!!

JoanB 09-22-2011 09:31 PM

Potcheen...had to look it up, and was expecting to find some long-simmered concoction that involved root vegetables and ruminant's organ meats unheard of here in the colonies...only to find out that what you really mean is to get us schnockered, missy!

OK.

Mark56 09-22-2011 09:47 PM

After All

It is all about pain management, yes? But I must confess I would have the need to "learn" this thing about drink, for there I have not gone before.

A Newbie Dweeb,
Mark56:wink:

pooh_ac 09-22-2011 10:35 PM

yard decorations.........

:rolleyes:Various objects have been "donated" to needy lawns round these parts......One medical clinic had its nativity seen replaced with live animals:D. The ever popular pink birdies do tend to "migrate" around town... garden gnomes join forces for parties. BUT the best one was a pink toilet that somehow  moved to various places... it appeared at the mailbox of the local radio station one early am and from there I spotted at a number of town and rural mailboxes for about 3 months before it dissapeared??? This I put down to rural life bordom and sick twisted minds:p
:hug:z

Rrae 09-23-2011 12:58 AM

Precisely.

Which is why we resort to the drink as mentioned in the above post, which invariably leads us to perform such ingenious acts of random such as the pink flamingo ornamental gesture.

I must admit, Pooh, that the PINK toilet is something that my community has yet to expound upon, which leadeth me to think that your area of residence prooves to be much more advanced
in sophistication than that of which I presently reside. http://dl8.glitter-graphics.net/pub/...zsvsth9208.gif

Poitin

I, like Jackiey, will also bring along some poitin. Who knows ,we may all benefit from it as it is well known for its medicinal purposes. But it must be rubbed on and not drunk! My, what a waste!! Only kidding.....The stuff stinks.:
.

Sophie_ 09-23-2011 02:33 PM

An Poitín

My Granny tried it as rub on my back many years ago needless to say it didn't work!
A few years later my Dad had some poitín in a Vodka bottle and I didn't realise it wasn't vodka as it's the same colour, i mixed it with some diet coke, I drank some, I didn't finish it but I slept like a baby, it's horrible stuff and very illegal!

I could do with some right now, I'm suffering big time with this rotten back!

Later alligators,

Sinéad :)

Poitin??

Sounds like something the moonshiners in the mountains back east used to refer to as White Lightning, and I doubt they rubbed it on..... also kind of subject to the law under the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agency in our fed govt. I always thought that was a bizarre combination of regulatory issues under one hat.

Yup,
Mark56:D

Sophie_ 09-23-2011 05:17 PM

An Poitín

If we had ATF in Ireland they would have a hard time trying to find any it's not made that much any more and it's something like 95% proof so I can't imagine why anyone would want it. I guess it's more like very strong Vodka or moonshine, it's made from potatoes as that's all the Irish had in the 1800's before the famine. You can buy a touristy version but that's not real Poitín.

Time for sleepies,

Sinéad xxx:hug:

Well Joan, I have had a lot of friends who, during the course of my pain have suggested..... well have you thought of taking up drinking? I had not given that a thought....... Hmmmmmm. That wrath of grapes, wheat, barley, sugarcane, potatoes, rice, and all of the other things I have seen [even some on TV where these folk sit around and chew some food item and collect the sputum as a concoction that ferments into a beverage of some sort] have not been all that tempting to me. I do like a good glass of water..... even a half cola half lemonade [call that a Mark56 for a laugh]. Sometimes coffee, flavored right...... So that is how I arrived at the conclusion I am a drinking dweeb.

Yup,
Mark56:pepsi:

You could hide it in a spitoon, but then maybe those people Mark hangs out with might find it. Or you could just hide in my refrigerator--I'd never notice it behind everything else in there that I never notice either. Probably the safest place in the world.

Rrae 09-23-2011 10:41 PM

My brother used to hide certain 'medicinal' items in a LIMA BEAN bag in the back of the freezer! Now WHO would EVER find that! :p

Mark56 09-24-2011 12:34 AM

No One Would

'Cause every brother knows most of the universe hates Lima Beans...... bleah [I will not use the vomit icon].

:D

pooh_ac 09-25-2011 10:29 PM

OOOOhhhhhh MMMYYYY

I had forgoten the misuse of soda cans from my younger days:eek::D. The newer clear bottles would not do at all! Of course mayhaps my diet dew bottles would suffice!:D
