update - help me think happy thoughts!!!
 

ok....so here is an update to my social security disability filing. i applied on dec 2008. had an hearing before alj on july 12th. was sent to 2 consultative exams on aug 3 and 9th. my record was given to the judge (who was very nice at the hearing) on aug 25th and it was sent to decision writers on aug 26th. the writer began working on it on sept 1st and my case was administratively closed on sept 8th. i was just told that a letter was sent out already and of course they can't tell me what the decision is. I am on pins and needles waiting for the letter...stalking my mailbox. I believe the hearing went well and the voc expert gave testimony in my favor (I couldn't work even a sedentary job). I pray this is the end of a long wait for my approval. I am definitely almost one foot out on street.... thanks for all the support you all have given. anyone else relate to this????? :rolleyes:

lady dee dee i know how you feel(seems i say that alot to you).but i really do.i file the same year you did in 2008 and my case went before the judge in august for the desicion.you seen just like you:D:D:winky::icon_lol:.i think i got my letter of approval on saturday,but i let it sit in the mail box till monday morning.i just couldnt bear another rejection.i made desicion to go to my mail box on monday,so if there is a problem at least monday everything is open.when i open the letter my hands were trembling.i could hear and feel my heart pounding.i read the letter very slowly...SUPRISE!!:eek:all the months of worry,stress,pain..all slipped away that afternoon.i kept praying over an over again thanking "jesus".blessing and praising his name.i sure would love to dance with 2nice young ladies.thats every man fantasy:wink::D

I know the feeling don. I know I am going to have a rush of emotion while about to open my envelope as well. I pray it is approved. I will be praising Jesus as well....and you can count on our dance!!! thanks for your support don.

well....just received word that I was denied AGAIN!!!! :(

Not yet...haven't received letter yet. the letter will explain....I just have to wait to get that letter to see what went wrong.

How did you get the news if you haven't received the letter yet ? Do you have a lawyer yet ?

I'm sorry that you have to deal with this frustration and financial crisis on top of your disability.

No I called and asked the representative and she read the letter to me. Thanks finz. I am going to get an attorney now.

when i got first turned down,my lawyer let me know what was the deciding factors on why i got turned down.i even had the judge tell me that i should ask my doctor about my neck:eek:.so i took his advice and some tips from our good people here:wink::wink:.its what help me win my case.if you can find out what it was that made his desicion
