LOVING the rain we've been getting :) it will be a lazy day for me today....woke up with a migraine so my meds make me pretty loopy and groggy but it knocks the pain in an hour.

still "floating" from the talk i had with the 9th grade class about self injury. Of course i'm my own worse critic, and wish i'd said things differently but you know how that goes....

sending positive thoughts and prayers out to our family here.

Of course Goofy, we are always our own worst critics,

Highly recommend this movie The Way

I've tried this before ..... sometimes it works!! :o

Great, fast, easy recipe. Adults like this even more than kids

No-Bake Butterscotch Snack Bites -
3 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup quick oats
1 cup chopped nuts (I use walnuts)
1 2/3 cups BUTTERSCOTCH chips - Divided
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup light corn syrup
Paper line or grease 24 muffin cups (I use
4 doz mini cups sprayed with that no-stick stuff)
Combine cereal, oats, nuts,
salt and 1/2 cup morsels in large mixing bowl.
Melt remaining butterscotch and corn syrup
in microwave 70% power 1 minute. Drizzle
melted morsel mixture over cereal mixture, stir
til combined. WORK QUICKLY press mixture into prepared cups.

Looks wonderful Wren - I just started on the Sugar Busters diet a week and a half ago. Am trying to resist all sugar - wish me luck!

Great scott Barb -- you're a brave woman! I waddle around thinking of TOPS but instead bake more cookies for the kids at church.
I just finished a batch of regular chocolate chip (but using dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet), Milky Way stuffed peanut butter and some chocolate covered cherry cookies. Well, I finished the dough -- I'll do the baking tomorrow morning.
hee hee .... maybe I'll join TOPS tomorrow afternoon!!

Oh gosh

:( I'm so sorry you have such pain to deal with and I can imagine that it gets totally unbearable for you. I figured you weren't OK. I'm so glad you told us outright. I'd not seen that thread, I'm sorry. Like I said in PM, I wish I could take away that horrid pain. Hang on there... hang on tight.

Edited to add: If I could I'd take you to the appointment myself, not that I'd be much use I guess. Apart from the fact I'm in a different country. Please ask for help that day, maybe family could change their plans all things considered... you will need someone with you. I don't mean to sound bossy, but please don't go driving yourself to that appointment!

((((((Abbie))))))

FeelinGoofy 09-21-2011 09:04 AM

Gentle {{{HUGS}}}}} for Abbie..... :(
I will have to remember you in my prayers more often than i already do....

getting ready to go to work.... i just love my job.... i look forward to seeing my residents. They add so much to my life. Love my family here more than you know. {{{{HUGS}}}}

Alffe 09-21-2011 11:31 AM

Oh dear Abbie..no wonder you've been so quiet...you could and should be screaming. :( You have great people on the other forum to talk to about their experiences with the pumps. I pray that you will find some relief with the trial...but I do understand (well, how can anyone really understand unless they live with that agonizing pain on a daily basis) I know that Mark knows, as do BMW and Rae to name a few. How I wish I trusted myself well enough to come down there and drive you to that appointment. Am trying to think if I know anyone down your way.

211

Abbie

Just like 911 and 411 I think you can dial 211 and sometimes they have transportation solutions there.

http://www.fcc.gov/guides/dial-211-e...unity-services

Hope this helps. I recently found out that while I was hypothyroid it was dangerous for me to drive. I found this out after I had been driving hypo. Fortuneately nobody got hurt, but please you be careful too.

Alffe 09-22-2011 07:12 AM

Great link tied..I put it "upstairs" in the important links. Thank you.

And I think more importantly than transportation for our abbie, is the companionship of someone who cares and understands. I care dear lady, just don't think either of us would be safe with me driving you there.

I always carry you in my heart.
