Prayers please My Granddaughter, Freak Accident
 

I do not know the details, But my granddaughter. Is in the hospital with a concussion. She went in a ambulance. Has facial injuries, and concussion.

Not sure what happened, she fell is all I know. She will be in overnight for
sure. My Daughter-in--law like will stay with her. I just hope she can
handle this. She has already freaked out once tonight. The guy that
raped her was at the hospital, she has no clue why. I just hope
when they transfer my granddaughter to the other hospital, that this
one is associated with. He doesn't show up there.

Ugh, I wish I could just go too.

Forgot, to top it all off she has a HUD appointment at the house tomorrow.

She is worried she has left a message, with the office. Because it was
after hours. But as I told her, it was late and its a early appt. 8:30 to 9:30am. They just might not get the message. So my son and I will make
sure we are there. It will just have to be rescheduled.

Stll don't know much, We had a 2 hour fog delay this morning.

But Devin says. She will come home today. And that she will have
a swollen shut eye. For a few days for sure. And Swollend bones
around the eye I'm sure. Wow, must have been some fall.

I need to talk to Sabrina, I know they are supposed to have Pictures
this week. We need to either have no pictures, or see if she
can automatically be one of the retakes.

I just don't think she needs this reminder. I was helping raise the money for the pictures. So its easy to just get them somewhere else later. But I know how much more fun school pictures are.

Some more details.

She fell off her bike. It really sounds like more than that.

But its more that she didn't have a helmet, and fell. But other
than the concussion and the black spot, that from what her
mom said, is big. I'm not sure it would have mattered if she had
one on.

She is home for the week. And will be getting cream and things
put on her face, sounds awful looking. I will go see her tomorrow.
I didn't go today, because my grandson gets upset when I leave.
So I stayed away.

So I'll go when he is in preschool, hopefully. She has a bunch
of facial bruises on her nose area, and will have a swollen eye
closing shut in the next few days. She does have a doctor's
appt. on Friday already.

They will watch for systoms that would make a need for the hospital
again.

Stopped by to see them this afternoon. Had tried this morning.

Everyone was still asleep. The news wasn't the best. I had to
the D-i-l to give the nurse of her doctor a call. She has a doctors
appt at 4:20 think all the family went.

The school nurse when they went to pick up homework. Thought
her face looked like she might have impetigo. I told my d-i-l that
it was contagious and she needed to call. I really am not sure
it could be that. But it concerns me that the nurse thinks it could
be something that could be contagious.

So I wanted it checked today, not friday.

She really looks bad, but she will heal.


(derrick, had news, about his teachers, all of course are always this way.
But one knows her. And she has two of the girls and she are making her
a card on the computer. The two girls had her in preschool. (one is Derrick's
girl friend) Adara will love it when the card shows up.


The other teacher's have all been checking on her through either the internet or Derrick.

Such nice people.

Update, She does have impetigo. Wow, what a poor little thing. But so
glad she got in. And got more medicine. I know exactly what could have
happened.

oh gosh, i'm sorry Donna! that's the last thing she needs on top of all the other thins. i am glad you caught it so she can have treatment and hope it clears up quick.

Hope she heals well and it is not impatigo. Maybe some road rash stuff. It is terrible that school photos are this week. She should be able to have the make up day. I know one year dd was ill and had them on the makeup day.

Even with it being her face, she should get a good helmet to make sure next time she is not hurt worse. I hated bike accidents when driving the ambulance. We handed them out once a year for kids.

Donna, getting in a little late on this thread, but I read it all to get caught up. How awful for your granddaughter - it must have been a scary fall for her as well. I hope she continues to heal and recover. It's going to take time, but she should hopefully be good as new in the end.

It was impetigo. And now her older sister and her mother have the flu
today.

Ugh, poor things .

I haven't heard much since about lunch time.

But her other grandmother is keeping her so she doesn't get sick too.
She took her back to her doctor today.

Talked to Sabrina, D I L tonight, Adara, is doing really well. Only has a couple of really small scars close to her eyes. And her mom believes a few more days and they will be gone. So this is really good.

The other really good thing. This week is picture week, but they had already decided to wait on Adara. But when I was out.

I found a great buy $ 9.99 For a great package!!!!


D I L is always really upset when she can't raise the money for all 3 of the ones she buys for. But I had told her to ask the Fifth grader if she would mind waiting. Just tell her friends she chose to wait with her sister.

She told her mother she doesn't like the school pictures anyway. So thats two. And of course, Will who is preschool and 4 1/2 will not have a clue he isn't getting them from school.

So we are hoping instead of $ 7Five. or so.

Its going to be closer to $30.00


So I think we will plan a birthday party close to there. So they can do both maybe. Heehee, I have to think on that.

Need to invite my family from Kokomo.
