Whine of the Day!

Did ya ever choke on your own spit? E-gads, I thought I was going to die. Whine, whine..

What is your MS whine for today?:grouphug:

Erin524 10-01-2011 02:32 PM

Been there, done that... HATE when it happens...mostly because it happens either in front of people (strangers, usually) who give me the hairy eyeball for choking in front of them, or it happens when I'm alone and scares the crap out of me because I end up thinking I'm going to die, choking on my on spit.

karousel 10-01-2011 03:01 PM

Ugh I hate when that happens!

Trust me, you don't want to know my whine for the day. If I get started, then we'll all need to be drinking wine!! :Bang-Head: All I'll say is it's very stressful dealing with elderly parents -- hard headed ones at that -- but I'm fortunate to have two sisters to stress with.

There, now I feel better after my whine!! Thanks.

Blessings2You 10-01-2011 05:34 PM

So many whines, so little time.

kicker 10-01-2011 05:37 PM

I'm having some wine right now. I recommend it.

Blessings2You 10-01-2011 05:39 PM

I'm having raisin bread, with a tootsie roll pop chaser. (Then later I can whine because my stomach is weasly)

dmplaura 10-01-2011 05:55 PM

My eye's blurry and my head's hurting. :hissyfit: ... and I'm all out of wine too!

Judy2 10-01-2011 11:19 PM

My cellulitis is back again:eek:.....but I'm trying not to whine. It's COLD!!!:grouphug:

Erin524 10-01-2011 11:40 PM

Why am I hungry for cheese now??

I wonder if my dad has any wine upstairs? I know he has bourbon, but cheese goes better with wine. (or whine)

kicker 10-02-2011 07:20 AM

DH bought neat crackers, but no cheese!!!

Dejibo 10-02-2011 07:33 AM

i cod a cold (picture me saying with a suffy nose) and I am misearble! tiny temp flucuations make me wobbly, woozy and blind. ugh! its 100x worse than a non MS cold. ugh! :(

SallyC 10-02-2011 10:42 AM

Us too, Judy. Today is absolutely beautiful, though. I hope it reaches to Penn. for you.

dmplaura 10-04-2011 08:05 PM

I have a port in my wrist. Need I say more? :(

lizzienicoleb 10-11-2011 09:07 AM

It happens all the time! I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one. :)
As for my whine, it's mostly always the same: Its frustrating trying to explain to my loved ones how I feel. I know they care, but they don't truly understand. And they try to help, but sometimes their "help" just comes off as insensitive. But I feel horrible for feeling that way! :(

SallyC 10-11-2011 11:15 AM

Welcome Lizz..:)

Loved ones mean well, but unless they have MS too, they haven't a clue, how and why we hurt. That's what this place is for. We do have a clue and understand..

mochagirl13 10-11-2011 05:00 PM

I'm ready to throw in the towel!! I don't want to say that MS has won but it has got me on the ropes and I am fading fast. I did some calculating today and it does not look good. I choke on about 50% of whatever. Spit, water, air or food, it doesn't matter. It could happen at anytime. My new neuro wants to send me to p.t for it but I already go 3x a week for my frozen shoulder. At $25 co-pay a pop, I would be begging 4 spare change on the expressway ramp. And still working a fulltime job. I just can't seem to win. That's my whine cause if I tried the other kind I would have even more health woes.:(

kicker 10-11-2011 06:05 PM

I'm a choker. Found out I dislike eating with others who talk and distract me. I gotta pay attention to what I'm doing.
Leaning forward when swallowing helps. Never lean back!!!!

SallyC 10-11-2011 07:14 PM

I hear ya :circlelove:(((((Mochagirl))))):circlelove:

ewizabeth 10-11-2011 11:33 PM

I choke on my own spit all the time Sal. I explain it as allergies or something else. Since I work in sales and retail it can be a bit difficult at times to make up excuses. It usually happens when I try to multi-task and get ahead of myself.

SallyC 10-13-2011 12:02 PM

The good news is, the temps are in the 50s.:)
The bad news is, the humidity is 97%

My body feels waterlogged..:hissyfit: :Help:
