Yippi - A party in Pooh's Barn :)

Perhaps us Irish ladies could show you guys how to do an Irish Jig. I'd have to learn me self first then get me out this hospital but I'll be there.

Yeah, yeah yeah.....

S :)

Mark56 11-05-2011 09:34 AM

That's the Spirit!!!

We just go flat out GOOFY celebrating successes and triumphs. You being released from hospital with a realizable plan of treatment would be ALL THE MORE reason to learn a jig!!!! Pooh's barn is in Nowhere, Nebraska, a for real place--- I have been to the city, and they proclaim they are NOWHERE, what a hoot!! Perfect place to gather for a Cyberfest.... truly NOWHERE!! So, Hospital or not, saline running or not, pack your cyber bags, bring a jig to share, and we will kick our heels "cyberly" with lots of refreshments, a Bring Your Own Fest, and throw off the mantle of pain for celebration time! Where is Tara? She should be chiming in? Gonna Cyber Dance, music is starting..... ; o )

Yup,

Wind Advisory!

We MUST be very careful with bonfire! If the wind changes direction, we'll set Pooh's ranch on fire AND THEN it would be no time before the grass fire sets MY pasture on fire!

I'm in "IRISH MODE" Sinead, good idea!

Bad few days

thank you so much Mark, the past few days have been full of pain, and finally went to the ER. Found an UTI, but no fever. My back was so swollen..... Still is I guess. received dialuid (?) Which took the pain off enough to rest. Talking to the PA, she helped me with a dr to get a second opinion on my diagnosis. My pain gets worse and worse. I feel like a truck hit me. I also called the stim dr, and the person who took the information could not see a correlation with my extreme pain, and the trial.
Sorry if this doesnt make sense, but just need to get it out on my little keyboard on my phone. My pain medicine isn't cutting it right now..... Thank you .... Thank you for reading. God bless all :)

Mark56 11-15-2011 12:18 AM

Sorry Viv

The infection and pain sound awful...... after my Trial, I had infection at the site where the Trial leads entered my back..... EWWWWWWW.... pus..... yucky. My daughter had thought I was bleeding, as we were in the grocer and I was wearing a red shirt with a large moist splotch in the middle of my back....... it was not blood though, and interestingly, there was no pain with the infection YET at that time. The horribly odd part was the insuror did not want to pay for the antibiotic prescribed to fight the infection. I guess they thought I was trying to scam them for strep throat or something....

Prayin for ya,
Mark56:hug:zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Went to my GP doctor

to discuss my emergency room visit on Sunday. My GP advised me that I have no UTI. I didn't think I did -- (us gals know when we do). My entire lower back was inflamed :( Thank God they gave me a nice coctail at the ER to relax everything. My GP's thoughts were that the stimulation and removal of the leads caused my body to react to the pain coming back full force. I then went to my Stim surgeon's office, (because I never get a real answer from anyone there), and the nurse stated that this does happen some times, and it isn't really that unusual. My body was so used to the pain relief, that when it came back - it was pain overload.
I hope this makes sense to someone -- as I am confused. My pain feels so mechanical to be (besides nerve pain). I've gotten an appointment with another neurosurgon in a couple of weeks, and a CT scan to be scheduled before I see him, to confirm if I fused or not. I've never really gotten a "YES", you did fuse. Hopefully the CT scan will show more than just scar tissue that I was told is causing my pain. I feel as if I'm broken in half, and the muscles in my back are holding my body together. It's been like this for so long. lol Thanks for letting me vent again.
 Wednesday night blessings to everyone :)

Now, while I do not claim to have experience with the UTI about which you write.... ahem..... I know absolutely how it was to have the pain back full force...... DEAD AWFUL, and it was !@#$!@#$%!$^%$^ to bear while I waited for my Trial insertion site infection to heal up before I could be scheduled for permanent surgery. So, yeah, I KNOW whereof you write!! A lot of us here do. My doc explained this is why sometimes they have to send police with an arrest warrant after a patient who fails to show up for Trial lead removal..... they just don't want to take that trip back to H E L L. Been there, done that.
Yup,

Vivster

Same thing happened to me. Ended up in ER also. My wait from trial to implant was two months and my pain level never wen down. My Med level need skyrocketed. I'm now three months post op and doing So much better. Hope things calm down.

Sandy:hug:

Ananimity 11-17-2011 03:43 PM

so glad it was normal

Thanks Mark, Sandy Kay and Joan.... I'm glad it was a "normal" reaction to having it removed!! I understand "normal" is just a setting on the washing machine. :D
The permanent installation is scheduled for Dec. 5th. I asked the dr. office to possibly move it later (since I'm running out of paid leave) - so was told my next date would be January. That's too long for me, so I will go ahead with the Dec. 5th date!
I'm still following up with another neurosurgeon on Nov. 30th, with a CT scan next Monday the 21st at 10:00 a.m. I still want confirmation that my concern of pseudarthrosis - non fusion, is real or not. My last MRI stated L5-S1 has scar tissue surounding the nerve root, and a disc spacer seen at L4-L5, with scar tissue encasing the nerve.
Then - - I think to myself, do I want to go through fusion again? Well - God is in charge, and I will rely on Him to guide me through that.
Hope you all are still ready to have a dance party! :yahoo:

Rrae 11-17-2011 04:25 PM

Always!

YES! Always ready for a dance party! :Head-Spin: :highfive:

Sounds like things are really moving along, Vivster! This is great to hear! I agree, January woulda been too long a wait. Glad you opted for the Dec 5th date!

Great News! You've got your date. It's count down time.
Good luck at your appt. on Monday. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way.

Vivster!!!!

I think the WORLD awaits the Pooh's Place dance party to celebrate your implant!!!! Check the traffic count on this dance thread.... Good thing Pooh has a HUGE Barn and lots of pasture for parking next to the pond.:D:D

Where is that Pooh Bear lately..... haven't seen her in a spell. I would PM her, but if she isn't commenting here, she would not see a PM either.... getting a bit worried about her.

Pooh, Where are YOU???? In the hundred acre wood?

Caring loads and loads,
Mark56:grouphug:
