Twinkletoes 11-19-2011 04:32 PM

DeVere.

Twas my Dad's name. Nope, he didn't like it either, lol! :D

Twinkletoes 11-19-2011 04:33 PM

BTW BMW, why would you want to name something that's dead and edible?

When I was 11, I sure felt bad when I found out we were eating my calf, Calcutta. But he sure did taste good! :D

Lara 11-19-2011 04:50 PM

You could call him Ashton Turkey.

Just curious as to why you alternate the names each year. Then again, maybe it's difficult to know if it's a hen or a gobbler once they're processed. hmmmnn

This is something I've never had to think about before. :D

Blessings2You 11-19-2011 05:06 PM

How about Moore? :D

Lara 11-19-2011 05:10 PM

Very funny! :D

Could sit at the table and say more Moore please.

kicker 11-19-2011 05:14 PM

I like Ashton Turkey!

mrsD 11-19-2011 05:18 PM

I think one of the biggest "turkeys" around right now in the US is
named Herman.... Hence my suggestion!

Burntmarshmallow 11-19-2011 06:17 PM

We decided when our kids were little it was a good way to get them into helping with the holiday . it is usualy something to do with the current times of that year be it in family life or movies , news....
Some names in our past tradition of naming our Turkey - - - Grover,Bart Apolo (Ohno , Betty (White) , Marta (Stewart), Pat from the old snl skit , Brad (Pitt) Billy Bob , ...
I want to name the Turkey. Nacho....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_LgDjU1jGs
but my 2 DDs aint going for it lol they are 20 and 17. he isnt in music, sports media movies or news enough they say and no one knows who he even is  kids. so no Nacho
MOORE They like. Good one B2Y:)

Weighing in at 19 and a half pounds we have Herman in the white netted jersey . Herman is preparing to be the delicious tasty main dish on tomorrow holiday meal.

Koala77 11-24-2011 05:21 AM

Herman was a wonderful choice ..... well done mrsD :D
He's quite a big boy, isn't he? I hope he's delicious.
