Happy new years eve!
Jeff and I are not going to new orleans like we have been doing...not really safe right now so we are staying in town. And restaurant hopping.
I picked up a few grape leaves wrapped goodies and some humus and chips to start. Then we are going to the tap room for char broiled oysters, then to cafe roma for seared tuna and bone fish grill for bang bang shrimp, if we have room finally cochan for another appetizer or two. It is a tapas night!

I am spending a quite night with my tv and some computer.

I will be alone. Hubby is next door with his mom. Derrick at his girlfriends.

And my family is at their homes. Didn't feel like grandkids tonight.

Had Kentucky Fried Chicken for supper. And it was great.

Bizi you are making me hungry!!!!!!!!! I have been CRAVING good Louisiana food!!!!! Oh...by the way... Happy Birthday early!!!!!

I am sitting in my bedroom flipping the channels watching the different New Year's eve specials...

Had pizza for dinner... nothing special... just a slice of dijorno (sp?).
Now i'm hungry for something sweet.:rolleyes: maybe a poptart...

Well... I'm gonna jet... kinda tired... probably be asleep b4 too long.

We just got home from our evening of eating and drinking.
What a feast!
I am so full.....
The food was so good.
I think I will see if hubby will take a walk with me...there are fireworks going off all around us.

I turned 49 today along with my twin. (ALMOST 50):D
We are going to see the movie "the girl with the dragon tattoo" and taking it easy.
Our nice neighbors brought us over food. that is so sweet of them. We are eating that for lunch. a cabbage casserole, smells wonderful.
Enjoy your day my friends, may 2012 be the year that we find some more peace and happiness among friends and family and with in ourselves.

Hello Everyone,

i apologize for joining in late, but i still want to wish a Happy New Year to all. There is much of it left for me to leave wishes for, so i guess it still works... ;):cool: i thought of you all on New Years' but i didn't feel like posting. I haven't been able to bring myself to lately. not sure what was wrong. just been a bumscrag or something... uncommunicative... whatever.

We had a nice quiet New Year's toast at midnight, and i surprised my parents with two gracefully wrapped gifts... books each of them wanted. We do not usually trade presents at New Years at all so they were totally blown away (that was the best part! :)).... these would have been Christmas gifts had i been up to it. it is just as well though, because my mother did not come across hers in the stores till after Christmas, so the timing worked out.

(The infamous calendar had to wait a few more days and by then was no surprise. I was a little disappointed at the printing - some color distortion - but all in all, it was pretty good, and they liked it.)

Worrying about my Devin and his family.

I know you understand, and there is nothing I can

I also have company, My very own Batman is visiting,
from last night to Sunday noon.

Its been great so far. My Will is behaving wonderfully,
other than a game machine I bought him,
Doesn't have a working controller, and he was mad.

Ugh we have to figure that out.

Wow, bizi, you are making me hungry!

We had a quiet New Year's Eve - it was the six of us, and we had a dinner of all kinds of appetizers that we bought and made. We watched several of the New Year's parties on the networks, saw the big crystal ball fall in Times Square, and went to bed shortly after midnight. I went to take Lilo out to potty before going to bed, and, to my surprise, I could see fireworks from my back patio, and there were also lots of fireworks, etc, many of which sounded like gunshots :eek:.

We just know that 2012 will be a better year for us, once we get through this month, with the anniversary of the fire on the 18th, followed a week later by what would have been Andrea's 29th birthday. I feel a sense of calm, though, with the knowledge that she is happy where she is now... I do miss her, though.

And finally the calender came out it is done! yea!you can cross the holidays off your things to do lists and start on something a new.
