The New JCP Commercial
 

Anybody happen to see (or hear) the new JC Penney commercial? :mad:

Apparently they're revamping the entire store nationwide with a 2/1 grand opening. This new commercial is nothing but people screaming.......60 seconds (might be less but it feels like an eternity) of nothing but people screaming. Ughh.....I dive for the remote whenever I see or hear it.

What on earth were they thinking when they made this??? :confused:

OMG yes. I read that the advertisers are going to have more people talking at the top of their lungs, now that they have to reduce the sound on commercials, by the end of this year..:mad:

I hated that Target one at Christmas time as well.

The one with the lady always getting ready to shop all night? I sort of thought some of those were funny. Some were annoying but there were a few I liked.

If I recall, and I hate to recall it, it seems to me she was racing around with a shopping cart, on a treadmill getting ready and just carrying on. I think she was hollering a lot and it just rubbed me the wrong way. I disliked it a lot.:(

The Target commercials were actually funny because they had an actress that looked like she was actually having fun with the whole thing.

The JCP commercial is irritating as heck tho. I wont be shopping at JCP just on principle because of how annoying the commercial is.

At least the Geico commercial with Maxwell the Little Piggy on the zip line screaming "wheeeeeeeeeeee!" is cute and doesnt seem to last as long as the JCP screamers commercial. They could have made that commercial really annoying, but the fact that they made little Max cute and established that he's the "Whee Whee Whee...all the way home" little piggy in previous commercials just makes it kind of cute and not as annoying.

It is an annoying commercial. However, I am thrilled with JCP's new marketing plan and their HUGE price drops coming up. They are trying to appeal to younger clientele as well. I read a whole thing on their new, yet risky, plan. I hope it works for them.

I'm sorry, but that whee whee whee Piggy commercial SUCKSSSSS!!!!:mad: It hurts my head:eek:.. I can't get to the mute button fast enough..:rolleyes:

Risky is right......if they want to lose customers based on their irritating commercial.

I sort of liked the Target lady. Some of her "warm ups" were really funny I thought.

I do not like the Geico pig. The only Geico commercials I really liked were the pothole commercial (where the pothole is talking) and the one with the really funny ringtone that sounded while the man is in the bathroom. Here they both are in case you need a laugh:

My son actually downloaded the ringtone to his phone!

I got a Face book note from my nephew in law who is blind. You can imagine what he said about it. To be sitting listening to TV and then that come on!!!!!

I hope the Secondary Audio (audio that plays for blind people, kind of like closed captions for the blind. Think it has a narrator that describes things) for the screaming commercial has some sort of apology for all the blind people having to hear that.

Just found a site for that JCPenney screaming commercial. There are 52 comments so far and all but three people absolutely hated the commercial. I also talked to a representative and I get what they are trying to do and that is to get rid of coupons, etc. and to let people know that. They are supposedly trying for the lowest possible price. I get it. But ---- IMHO they do not have to scream to do that. :rolleyes:

I hope they read the reviews and change their approach. Maybe we should all go to that site and voice our opinions! Can you please provide the link, Kitt?

Am I the only person in captivity, with a TV running 24/7, and yet not seen a Target crazy lady commercial, until today????

I watched them all just now and my fav is the Rap she does on the exerciser..:D:p:D

I really enjoyed all the different ones that played during the Christmas season. Her expressions were hysterical. I loved the one of her in the greeting card aisle with all the different singing cards acting like she was directing an orchestra. :D

I just watched that one, Kelly. It is now my new fav..:yahoo::trampoline:

Commercials... they are why I DVR everything except the local evening news. I do plan to watch the ones during the Super Bowl.

I'd like to put all the JCP advertising Execs in a small, windowless, soundproof, locked room and play this commercial over and over again, until their ears hurt.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I hope they listen. That darn commercial just came on again and I wasn't near the remote. :mad: Had to listen to the whole thing before I made it into the living room to mute it. Guess I'll have to start muting the TV before I leave the room just in case. :rolleyes: It's really over-the-top annoying!

I guess I am relieved that I DVR everything. I do not watch commercials at all anymore.

I have seen 2 of those pig commercials. I have to quickly change channel or my dog has a fit. My dog starts barking and tries to get behind tv to shut the pig up. I don't know if she wants to attack the pig but she only weighs about 8 pounds and I'm not sure she would win the fight. She also loses it when the commercial with the barking dogs come on. I can't even remember who or what it is advertising but I know it is annoying. I think they bark the theme to Star Wars.

I just saw (or heard) this one last night. AAAAHHHHH!!!! SHUT UP! why is everyone screaming? Why do they always portray women as screamers?

I've never liked loud things. Music, people, etc. I was wondering if this dislike was just another thing MS has caused in my life but I think I would hate this commercial with or without MS.

In fact, I was just thinking today while TPIR was on television that I wish the lady that won would stop screaming!!

I don't know which came first, the Anxiety or the MS, but the loud obnoctious commercials always set me on edge.:eek::eek::eek:

240 comments so far and they do not like that commercial and say they won't shop there again. I do not like loud things either. There are men in it as well. It is sickening. I've asked several people how they like it and not one of them does.

The very first lady shown in the commercial looks alot like the Target Christmas lady. Anybody else see the similarity?

This is another commercial that makes my dog crazy. It came on last night and she started to bark and run around the room. I had to change the channel. I pray that this is not a prelude to the superbowl commercials.

I don't think they will be. I have seen some of them already and they weren't irritating. At least what I saw.
