Been a real downer seeing so many people flee...:(

Jules A 03-16-2012 03:31 PM

Where/why are people MIA?

I have been scarce because I'm working or in clinical ever single day of the week and so tired I can hardly make it past 8pm on the nights I'm not working until midnight. But other than that I'm good. Still just trying to out-run the monster in hopes of having a somewhat secure future.

Hope everyone is well. :grouphug:

I'm guessing there are almost as many reasons as there are MIA's. Some lose interest, some move on to other venues (Facebook, other boards), some get ticked/offended, some get busy, some are too ill or tired to post...who knows?

I notice that every once in a while someone will "check back in", which is thoughtful even if the person doesn't plan on jumping back in with both feet.

The more the merrier, I say.

And I hope Aarcyn is doing okay.

my thoughts

I have never been a big poster, but the replies/views ratios makes me feel uncomfortable.

I know that there is no obligation to post, but it seems that the lurkers/voyeurs way out number the participants and that doesn't sit right with me.

But I am glad that info is available.

And I hope Aarcyn is ok too

I have periods in my life when it gets very busy. MD appointments, life stuff, child stuff, and just over schedule myself and before you know it a week has passed and I havent been here.

I hope she is out having fun somewhere.

thinking positively- perhaps they have gotten the support they needed, the answers to questions or the "been there, done that, try this" guidance that helped them get to the point that they are happily living their life and felt they could 'move on'?

In oher words, perhaps it is a good & healty thing they don't feel the need to regularly be on the board.

I will blissfully choose to think this may be agood development (but I do miss them)

In my case, I am not on the computer much at home, and the firewall at work blocked neurotalk a few months ago. So I just am not able to get here very often. Not to mention having a mom in a nursing facility with two broken legs...

SallyC 03-18-2012 09:59 AM

Lord TX, two broken legs? Poor Mommy.:(

I hope she heals soon, bless you both.

Oh, and damn your employer..:D

I only have access with my cell phone, so it is a drag to type much. I am getting divorced, so I dont have a computer to access. I moved out of my house in September and have been pretty much staying to myself...no reason other than being sad I guess. Its tough to face a 22 year marriage ending....

SallyC 03-18-2012 01:22 PM

So very sorry for your pain, Amy. You shoulda kicked him out!!

Come in when you can and much luck for your new, and I hope, bright future.
