How Are You Feeling?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I haven't been feeling so pretty good lately. I think most of it is this Spring, but more like Summer, weather we've been having.

I wish God would give us a break and have some coolish dry weather for awhile (Or forever).;) My poor70yearoldbody doesn't like it and is rebelling a bit.

No big thing but, you know, maybe I've become a hypochondriac or sumpin? I got an all clear from the Hospital Docs, at the end of Nov and another all clear and healthy from my PCP, in Jan. So why the *H* do I feel like I may have some HBP or heart trouble of something?

Just say "AWWWWW Sally" and I'll go away.:D

Blessings2You 03-25-2012 04:06 PM

Sally, maybe it's because having a hospital experience can make you hypersensitive, give you creepy thoughts and feelings.

On the other hand, why do you feel you might have a heart or BP problem? Are you having symptoms that concern you? If so, by all means have yourself check out. That's not hypochondria, that's being your own health care advocate. And common sense.

Hmmmmm, Sally. A couple of thoughts. One is when people w MS feel odd things that aren't very specific it often turns out that they have a UTI. Whatdayathink?

And, re: Diaper Rash fm Hell, Look up some pictures of staph infections and then some yeast infection (monilia). Diaper rash should have been easily resolved w some A&D or similar ointment.

Right this moment I feel okay. But that could all change in 10 or 20 minutes. You know how it is........

Sally, if you're feeling "different" or think there's something wrong by all means check it out. You're not a hypochondriac.

This, of course, makes the most sense and a very large possibility.

A couple of times I've awoken from a nap, rushed to the BR, of course :) and in standing up to transfer, passed by the mirror, and noticed that my face was puffy and red (as though I just ran around the block. A sign of HBP?

I think it's the stress of everytime I use all my strength to transfer from the low sitting sofa to my scooter, the fear of falling and my anxiety of tripping over the dog, who is ALWAYS in the way.

I usually know if I have a UTI and don't think so, but not beyond the rhelm of possibility.

Im sure it is yeast and that's why it's still there. I think I will get some Lotrinin AF, as it comes highly recommended for such a rash, and see if that helps.

The constant stress and anxiety of this rash (and under my boobys too), is certainly not helping matters.

Thanks Kelly. Lately I have really put my Prozac to the test. with this stress and anxiety. Maybe I need another AD switch.

I may call my Doc and see what he suggests. I hate going to the Docs unless totally necessary. (you're right, I'm not a hypo:D)

Another thing that has stressed me out this past week, is that my cr cd was comprimised by some crook who tried to charge $2700. to my account for some fraudulent Insurance Co..:D My Bank caught it and froze my cr cd.

I cannot purchase online until I receive and activate my new cr cd, hopefully this week. I'm having withdrawal symptoms.

I’m not feeling so top-o-the-world myself lately. Gerry and I just got back from a ski trip for him, and a ski bunny trip for me. The altitude nearly did me in! At least I hope it was the altitude, ‘cause I’ve been feeling like one of those slow-moving sloth creatures. We just got back yesterday after five full days on the road to get home, which never really agrees with me. So I am hoping that a few days of near sea level will do me a world of good. In any case, my PCP is going to get an earful when I see him in a couple of weeks.

Feel better, dear Sally, and I’ll try to do the same.

I too am in the slow lane. I also tend to "over react" to my own health when I am tired, stressed, run down, or dont feel good.

You had a course of antibiotics? Then you may have an over growth of bad bacteria in your gut, and 70% of our immune systems come from our gut. Eat yogurt (or take the acidopholus pills) get some probiotics going to re balance your gut. Yogurt (non fruited) can be rubbed on your bum to help that diaper rash, but the unbalanced bacteria could explain why it was so severe for you.

I hope you are feeling chipper in no time.

I get yeast under my breasts too, and get a lot of relief from plain old Mentholatum (although it will sting at first if the skin is broken.) BTW, I notice that consuming sugar or alcohol makes the yeast act up. I've also used nystatin cream with success, but you need a prescription.

SallyC 03-27-2012 10:56 AM

Thanks Dej, I've been thinking of doing that. Eat yogurt that is, haven't thought about the rub it on the bum thing.:D

I discovered one thing that was wrong with me and fixed that, so some things are better, at least psychologically. My DD gave me her Prozac when she quit it and she had ordered 10 mg size to cut down and I thought they were 20mg. I take 40, so when I dbled her's, I was only taking 20 for about a week, so was having withdrawal sx.

How are your eyes doing? Healing? I hope so.
