What's on your plate...

I'm waiting for my grandaughters to wake up..:D We had a successful trip to the outlet mall yesterday...weather was lovely and Taylor found a dress for the wedding, her sister is still looking for a bathing suit. We went to dinner at Morgans favorite restaurant and had a short visit with my sister.

This morning it's 34 and the wind is howling but so far...no snow. Today they want to see Blades of Glory...:o It's a funny movie I guess. LOL

The time is going much too fast...it always does when they are here. :D
Nice to see Addy check in.

~KELLWANTSANSWERS~ 04-04-2007 07:40 AM

FeelinGoofy 04-04-2007 07:58 AM

:Wave-Hello: waves at Kelli.... looks like we're both on at the same time.

I dont have to work today so i'll probally do laundry, clean the house a bit, then go buy stuff for Easter Baskets :) The kids are easy to buy for, but my husband.....:Bang-Head: any suggestions would most appreciated....

I need to call mom and see what our family plans are for Easter.... You never know about my brother....:thud:

oh.... and i've go to go get gas for the lawn mower.... our grass/weeds are getting out of hand.

Doody 04-04-2007 10:40 AM

Work, work, and more work. I SO want to retire...and go to the movies with Alffe.

Alffe 04-12-2007 12:38 PM

The motor went out on my dryer so I went to the laundromat with a bunch of wet clothes.....Interesting place that laundromat. :o a quarter buys you 8 mins. which isn't long enough to dry anything. I did read an interesting article in a very old time magazine which I'll proabably post later.

I bought Cooper a new rug...I wore my boots again...had Tabboulie and Baba ganous at the Mediterranian restaurant.

Listened to WGN radio ....and got some good links.

http://www.wvec.com/cams/eagle.html

decided that firing Imus was a good thing. And here the day is only half over.

Curious 04-12-2007 02:28 PM

carrots. i have carrots on my plate. :D

Alffe 04-12-2007 03:26 PM

ROFL!!! dang..my message is too short.

Well can you believe it? Imus has now been fired from his radio show. He can't win for losing.

And I have tan legs from the knees down. So I can wear those funky pants.

Curious 04-12-2007 04:36 PM

which funky pants alffe? capri's or the new long shorts? i love those...with some strappy summer heels.

well..can't say that i will miss imus. i never listened to him. couldn't stand him before.

oh...are you sure the motor went out on your dryer? sometimes taking the back off and vacuuming out the whole thing helps. i'm a vacuum freak. :o i do this once a month. i do TONS of laundry though. the towels for the club too.

Curious 04-12-2007 05:06 PM

well...not on my plate...but i have 2 ducks swimming in my pool! :D

Julie 04-12-2007 07:51 PM

Getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to get Robert to school and on a bus to go to Oklahoma for a choir competition. This mama is nervous as all get out after watching the weather today.

Julie 04-12-2007 09:43 PM

Oh Lord, the high there tomorrow is supposed to be 52.

FeelinGoofy 04-12-2007 09:57 PM

Where in Oklahoma???? and theres suppose to be BAD thunderstorms here tomorrow afternoon..... i've not heard the latest weather which is coming on here in about 3 minutes....

ok the weather just went off its suppose to start raining tonight and continue into tomorrow. They're saying it shouldn't get bad.

Julie 04-12-2007 10:33 PM

At the Arbuckles park. It's supposed to be horrible here tomorrow.

FeelinGoofy 04-13-2007 06:40 AM

LOL the Arbuckles huh??? thats about an hour or so south from me. They call it the Arbuckle mountains, but they're actually just big hills  . as of right now its not doing much of anything. I've been awake since 5:00ish with a headache, so i know its coming.....

Julie 04-13-2007 09:48 AM

We stopped there on the way back from your house and took pictures. Robert was much impressed with the "mountains". Brion and I laughed at him.

The trip was cancelled and he is so upset. I feel so bad for him because they have worked so hard.

hsiw 04-13-2007 08:08 PM

I am not looking forward to this weekend. Tomorrow I have to take my friend to the airport, and I hate driving there. And Sunday I need to work on a project that is due Tuesday which I haven't started. Which reminds me, I also need to interview bf's grandma this weekend for the project. Another thing I am not looking forward too. I have another easier project due later in the week. I am hoping to squeeze in some fun things this weekend: possibly a dinner & movie. I hope, its been awhile since I've gone out!

And that's pretty much it. I am going to make some filet mignon now for dinner. Not sure how to cook it. It is left over from my dad's bday this week that we didn't use because we didn't have enough. I think I am getting too detailed here. I hope broiling it is ok. Curious, what kinda carrots were on your plate. I love glazed carrots! Been awhile since I've had them, with a brown sugary sauce.

Alffe 04-14-2007 05:05 AM

How'd the steak turn out Wish?...makes me hungry reading about it. *grin
Good luck on all that school work...I think the end is in sight?..May, if I remember correctly.

FeelinGoofy 04-14-2007 09:40 AM

yum...... filet mignon is the only kind of steak i can say i really like.
I'll eat the others if i'm at somebodies house and thats what they
are having, but i'm not much of a steak eater

I'm off to get my medicine before our pharmacy closes for the day
then off to work to call Saturday BINGO. Wish me luck LOL

hsiw 04-14-2007 07:21 PM

Today has been a crazy day! Terrible. I have been in a slump today and yesterday, with crying spells included. I am not really sure what it is, maybe the change in schedule, the stress of projects and finals coming up, or maybe just the change with graduation coming up. So today I took my friend to the airport, my dad broke her plant when loading it into my car. So I spent my day buying her a new pot and working on a project, and running errands. I think my stress level is just too high now. So bf & I are going to McDonalds to get some ice cream sundaes to make me feel better, hopefully it will work.

The filet mignon was delicious last night, I wish I had some more now. I did what the butcher advised, I put salt on it and garlic and thats it - cooked it 6 minutes on each side. It was good and I'll have to get some more. I wish it wasn't so expensive. Tomorrow I will have to write my paper so that I don't have to worry about it during the week. Next week will be crazy with two more projects to do also. *phew I don't want to think about it anymore. I have been getting headaches alot more lately and I don't want to get one today. Atleast I have my Lucy, it could be much worse.

Curious 04-15-2007 12:44 AM

just plain ole crunchy baby carrots wish. nt even any ranch to dip them in.

now,..your steak...sounds D-LISH!!

how was your ice cream?

on my plate for sunday...ugh...an open house. i hope we don't get just a bunch of nosey people wanting to look in drawers. :p

how did bingo go goofy?

FeelinGoofy 04-15-2007 08:40 AM

Bingo went pretty good LOL I got several compliment saying i was a good caller because i was loud enough ...... I told them i get alot of practice being loud with my two teenagers at home.. They thought that was pretty funny. :D
I'm not for sure what we're doing today. Other than going to church this morning. I'd like to go get a computer, but that isn't going to happen. We got our taxes figured and we have to pay quite a bit this year. this is the first year we've ever had to pay the federal.... oh well.....
I hope everybody has a good day today.....

hsiw 04-15-2007 03:47 PM

Goofy, I forgot to mention... I LOVE bingo!! My friends make fun of me cause they think its for old people, but its very exciting. I think its the adrenaline rush when you are so close, one number away. But, I've never won and only played a few times. I like the stampers too. I'm adding to my collection. We have a place about 30 minutes away, a Miccosukkee Casino with Bingo. Unfortunately, the Hard Rock Casino doesn't have Bingo - that would be fun too.

Curious, we went and decided to get the new McDonalds Iced Coffee. I had it the day before and it was delicious. But yesterday it tasted terrible and I couldn't finish. I'll have to try it again to see how it really is.

Now its time to write that paper.

KathyM 04-16-2007 10:31 AM

HA! You two can have your bingo. A friend talked me into going with her once years ago - said it was a fun way for her to get away from it all. I found it highly frustrating, especially when I'd get so close and someone else would yell out BINGO. I felt ashamed for wanting to beat up blue-haired women I didn't even know. I needed a drink after that - and I don't even drink!

I was given a treat today.

There's a certain time of day when I can see the sunshine without hurting my eyes. Around 7AM the sun shines on my lilac bushes without any glare from neighboring homes.

I peeked outside this morning to see how they are doing. I noticed a baby Robin sitting on the fence next to the bush. I enjoy watching the young birds, especially the Robins. He'd preen himself, then look up to the sky looking for his mom, mouth wide open waiting for breakfast. When a squirrel came too close, he hopped into the bush and waited for her there. It's nice to know my lilac bushes also serve as nursery. :circlelove:

No worms on MY plate today! :D

Doody 04-16-2007 04:36 PM

((Kathy)) I am SO happy to see you posting.

The funeral of a good friend is on my plate in about an hour. Other than that, it's a very beautiful day here in Iowa.

KathyM 04-16-2007 05:07 PM

((Doody))

Been thinking of your friend and his family ever since you posted yesterday. I'm sure they were prepared for either good or bad results, but not THAT bad. How tragic. :(

I'm glad you have a beautiful day there. It's not much, but hopefully the spring air and sunshine can provide a little comfort to them as well - an added reminder they're not alone in this.

Alffe 04-17-2007 07:59 AM

Only have a minute on this computer...there's a line waiting to ck their emails. But had to say hi and miss you...love all the activity. :grouphug:

FeelinGoofy 04-17-2007 06:38 PM

Hey Alffe..... Hows Florida???? ;)
Doody, just wanted to let you know you were in my thoughts and prayers.

Its been a weird day. There has been a slow falling rain most of the day. Most of our residents were sleepy and didn't want to do much. LOL... cant say that i blame them. Even some of our avid bingo players didn't participate today.
VERY unusal... LOL I think i'm going to make some more peanutbutter fudge as the last batch i made disppeared in one day

~KELLWANTSANSWERS~ 04-18-2007 11:25 AM
