Happy Birthday, Doody!

Thank you! I had to clear my social calendar :p in order to spend my birthday tonight with my grandson. After I pick him up from school we are going to see the Avengers. Then we'll go home, have some dinner, and some ice cream cake. :) Today I turn 63. May 9th my daughter turned 36. Pretty cool. 63, 36. Gosh I feel old, lol.

It was great! Picked up Oscar from school and headed straight to the movie theater. He was so excited to see it. The Avengers is simply AWESOME! We had a great time.

I had a feeling when we got out of the matinee he would want to play with his friends at home. He said, as we got into the car, "Grandma, I know it's your birthday but could we go to my house so I can play with my friends for a little bit?" What the heck, sure. I really enjoyed myself sitting on his front porch, watching him play with his neighborhood gang, it was a gorgeous day.

Finally got him to leave and go home with me and we ordered pizza. He was anxious to be done with the pizza so we could have some of the ice cream cake I bought. (Oh my gosh, it was disgustingly yummy!) We were both on our second piece of cake when he said, "GRANDMA! We forgot your birthday candle!" So I got one candle and handed it to him. He put it in his piece of cake and I said, "Now we can sing happy birthday to me!"

"No Grandma! I will sing it to you by myself!" And he did. My heart just fluttered while he sang to me. :hug:
