http://www.cyber-soup.com/drumcan.jpg Pretty sweet find! And they are still in decent shape, I didn't have to thin them at all, though the Love My Nails on the end is yellowed, I doubt I use it, it's still cool to have it! They were found in this old tobacco can! :D SO excited! :D As for the house, we are still waiting to hear, hope you're all doing well. Talk to you soon! :) |
excited to hear about your housing details!
happy that you found the polishes! Have a great day pammie! bizi |
Thanks bizi! I heard today (called the realtor) that they are one phase away from approving the short sale! HOORAY! So wish us luck! :D

Hi, Pam,
It is good to hear from you. Keep taking care! M |
Wow, I came down with a horrific migraine today, I had to break down and take an imitrex for it, just HATE it when they are that bad...I feel pretty awful, going to bed earlier then usual tonight. Will keep you posted on the home news. :)
|
sorry about your migraine, hopes the imetrex helps. sleep well my friend.

It worked, but it makes my stomach feel all weird, not quite nausea, but close....I used that one Rimmel there in the pic and here's the results, I am quite pleased:
http://oi45.tinypic.com/2mnlp1v.jpg I kept waking up last night, I knew I had to get up and go without coffee for a blood draw, so I think that had some impact on it... |
purple, my favorite color! sleep better tonight!
bizi:hug: |
Dear Pam,
I thought of you when I went for a pedicure today because I almost went with a purple like that, but much of the purples out now are dark --- kind of like the dark greens I used to see. I went with a non-dramatic white frosty polish for the toes. The Pedicurist did a nice job and I came home feeling like a princess! :) M |
the white frosty polish will last till your next pedicure!
bizi:) |
Thanks bizi, I think this color I have on still would work great with your avatar picture's shirt/dress. I also wanted to take a moment to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I miss my girl, she was something special and has been gone for about 7 years. I have many fond memories of our time together when I was growing up (got her when I was in 6th grade) they really make our lives better. Love breeds love. I didn't sleep much better last night either. Woke up and within 3 minutes of being upright I was dry heaving. :(
That's so awesome Mari! I agree with bizi, the pretty polish you described (I have one from Sinful Color's I got from walgreen's for $1.99 called Tokoyo Pearl, I haven't tried it yet, I plan to though. I am glad you enjoyed a nice pedicure. I used to love the massage the most. That and the lotion really go a long way towards making you feel better. :) I totally get that you felt like a princess! :D That's just awesome! :) |
thank you pammie, harriet was my cat she has been gone over a year now....sigh

It's hard, I know. I just wanted you to know I really am sorry for the loss of your furry friend.

I have been so ill this week! I had a really bad migraine earlier, like Tuesday, and I was down for two days after taking the imitrex. Like I woke up Weds, dry heaving, which I haven't for a couple of months. So that was weird. I had zero energy and had a sensitivity where the migraine had been that went on for two days, so yesterday I finally felt OVER it and decided to take a picture of the nice makeup job I gave myself. :D Hope you like it! :D
http://www.cyber-soup.com/Pamster.jpg I think I am going to do the frosty white polish tonight if I am up to it later after dinner. I'll get some photos of it when I do use it, thanks to Mari I want to wear it now! LOL! :D |
Nice! You look very pretty!
glad that you are feeling better! bizi |
It's awesome to be feeling better. I feel really good today. :D Mom was over and we talked about giving her a manicure! I am so excited, she got bit on the thumb nail almost a year ago by a small dog and it's taken forever to grow out. :D
|
I did my nails up in a frosty white, like your toes Mari! Hope you like it, I am planning on stamping it too! :D

Hi,Pam,
I like the frosty white/silver. Did you stamp them? Explain to me about cuticles. Mine on my feet and hands almost always look like crap. I am trying to stop a bad habit of pushing back the ones on my hands. I was recently told to only do that when my hands have been in water so that they are soft. Also, some shops like to cut cuticles but the last two people I saw said that it is best that they not cut unless I insist. To cut or push back? M |
never cut them!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is unless you have a hang nail then that is different trim that to as close to the skin as possible to avoid picking at it. you can gently push them back with some cream or specially formulated cuticle balm bert bees makes a really good lemon one. but gently, they will heal in time. just my opinion, anxious to hear what pammie thinks. bizi |
Definitely NEVER cut the cuticles, that only leads to injury and possible infections. I never let anyone cut mine. I agree with the logic of pushing them back if they've been softened with some cream or something. I use a breast feeding cream called Lansinoh that is INCREDIBLE for cuticles on both hands and feet, I love it! Publix had it on clearance recently for around $6 for a tube. And a tube lasts a long, long time since you only need a little bit of this HPA Purified Lanolin that they get from sheered sheep hair somehow. It's pretty cool, it doesn't smell at all and it's awesome. Walmart has it too but it's more like $8 there.
I like bizi only cut if I have a hangnail, where the skin has ripped, and I am very careful to get it only as close as I can without taking good tissue. They make cuticle pushers, like the red tipped ones Walgreen's sells for about 2 for a dollar. I use those very gently like twice a month on my hands. It's hard for me to get the toes though, I usually only manicure them once a month. LOL! No, I ended up NOT stamping the white like I had wanted to. I just haven't had the motivation to stamp ever since finding the two additional black widow spiders outside, I have the green light to do it INSIDE, but I just don't know if I want to mess with it anymore until we've moved and are settled into the new home. Which we've yet to hear back on our offer. It's been just over a month and still NOTHING. Oh well, we're still waiting no matter what I want IN that house! LOL! :D Hope you're both doing well! Here's my latest manicure, it's with the Vintage Wine old Cutex Polish I had and I love the way it looks! :D http://www.cyber-soup.com/pamster/VintageWine.jpg Sorry it's been a couple days since I checked in, I have been so busy with Jackie home, summer school starts up soon, can't wait for that! :D |
Dear Pam,

Thanks Pam and Bizi for info about the cuticles. I stopped my habit of pushing on the cuticles throughout the day. Next I will get around to working on them when they have been softened with water and cream. M |
Glad to help Mari! I hope you see a difference in your cuticles soon! It takes awhile for the damage to heal, but it does heal. :D
