It's hot
 

It's 107 degrees right now. It is supposed to get hotter as the weekend comes. All our curtains are closed right now, our ceiling fan in the foyer is set to bring the cool air up from downstairs.

It's very hot here, too. I have all the ceiling fans on. I haven't kept the blinds closed because I like to see outside and the cats like to lie in different windows throughout the house. My new A/C system is really working well. I have the thermostat set to 75 and it's almost too cool!

We have humidy after that storm. Have all the blinds down too. Looks to be a very hot summer for most of us. I plan on putting up the shutters, and leaving then in place for the summer. Shuts out most light like a cave, but it cuts the electric bill too. Hope all of you take care of yourselves. ginnie

Wow 107!! We're close to 90 but the humidity is moving in. I've had the a/c on all day with the blinds closed. I hate having them closed because like Kitty I like to see outside. But I'm sucking it up so I can maybe save a few bucks. I've had a headache on and off for a few weeks because of the humidity we keep getting. Even in the a/c my head still aches. :( I couldn't imagine how I'd feel with a temp of 107!

Sunday is supposed to be the hottest. So I can't imagine what it will be. I am an avid fan of professional golf. We have a wonderful course in the small town next to us so actually we are credited to having the course. Anyway this is the first year they are on the tour! I feel so sorry for those guys. Plus we wanted to make a good impression and the temp is 107! But they all say they are used to the heat and the humidity is low and has a slight breeze so all is OK.

I would have loved to volunteer at this tournament. I don't play, never had the ability at all although I can play a mean game of miniature golf. But I just would have e loved to see what goes behind the production of what I watch every Thursday thru Sunday on the Golf network. But I watch the PGA tour and this is the Nationwide tour so I wouldn't have known any of the golfers. It still would of been interesting to be part of the hospitality team.

It was 101 here yesterday and expected to be hotter today. Go figure, its hotter on the day dh and I have alot of running to do. Im afraid of passing out. When I get too hot, I pass out. Can't handle it well at all. I would stay in my nice a/c apt, but I HAVE to do this chasing. YUCK!!

I've hidden myself inside. I only step out to put ice in the feral's water dish. I also put a water dish on the front porch for the birds.

I did water my red maple trees early this morning before the sun rose. It actually felt good outside. I soaked the ground surrounding the trees for about 30 minutes and then turned the hose off.

It's forecast to be in the low 100's on Saturday and I called the man who cuts my grass and told him if he wanted to wait and do it another day that was fine with me. It's just too hot to be walking around in the blazing sun. He said no, he'd be here......they've got a new baby on the way and he needs the money. What a good Dad. I told him to come at 7 AM and he said he just might to that!

Please give us rain!!
 

another heat wave in NH. its just odd to have it so hot here.

even the cats agrees it too friggin hot!

My long haired big girl, Squirt, is currenty sprawled on her back, with all four paws spread out, head flat back on floor - all while strtegically located under ceiling fan. And she will not move for anyone or anything.

It is pretty funny (I do not know how to insert the photo so I will make it an attchment)

We've had a cool down here......it's only in the low 90's today!!! :p

who would ever have thought we would sing out in joy for the 90s? Puts it all in perspective...

Not me, I hate the 90s just as much and so does my bod.:mad:
