Wormy Corn

How do you feel about finding a worm in your ear of corn?

Would you go ahead and eat it, the corn, not the worm? :D

Kitty 07-15-2012 10:55 AM

Just cut off the section that had the worm. I can't waste food.....and the "unwormy" part is still good. Worms hafta eat, too! ;)

kicker 07-15-2012 11:44 AM

I'm glad nobody is getting all Diva/Princess-like.

Kitt 07-15-2012 01:22 PM

Sure I'd just cut the part off that had the worm and eat it. In fact, I just took a hardshelled bug out of my raspberries that I had cleaned and was eating. Picked him out and ate the rest of the berries. Can't throw them away.:D

Kitty 07-15-2012 01:55 PM

I'm sure some of the stuff we ingest from packaged food is worse than accidentally eating a bug! :p

Kitt 07-15-2012 03:45 PM

I would guess so. :Starvin:

kicker 07-15-2012 04:19 PM

Shoot! If it would cure me I'd eat bugs everyday. Or worms.

Kitt 07-15-2012 04:56 PM

You betcha! :Tip-Hat: :Grin-Nod:

Alffe 07-15-2012 05:39 PM

rofl...I just love this place! :ROTFLMAO:

Sparky10 07-16-2012 09:03 AM

Are talking about a live wiggly worm here? The corn is cooked, right? That'd be one tough worm. Maybe if I ate it I could gain some of it's strength!

Alffe 07-16-2012 09:27 AM

We are talking about a healthy, wiggly small green worm. I understand that they like it too but....:o

Yes, a live worm before you cook the corn. If you don't remove that worm you would have a nice cooked worm.

Might as well have some protien with your corn
I was brought up on a farm for a little while and we wasted nothing, cut that worm off and eat the corn. One of my friends worked at a canning plant,O the horror stories of what he saw.

corn worms

My back yard was a corn field growing up.
the farmer let us pick the corn all we wanted. We just cut off any part that wasn't good. It was sweet and yummy. I can't waste either, especially in todays ecomomy. Now bugs in the flour.... I have more of a problem if that were to happen. I think we eat more bugs than we know about.:D:eek: ginnie

Kitt 11-22-2012 06:57 PM

Put the flour in the freezer when you buy it. That kills whatever.
