If You Could...

What would you like to do...right now?

I'd like to spread wings and fly over our land, taking my time to see everything and every place. Maybe stopping for a beer in Germany, a carafe of wine and cheese in Italy, a skinny dip in the ocean, in the Carribean, to bask in the sun in Hawaii, to glide over the beauty of Alaska and not stop flying until I could touch the face of God.

Blessings2You 07-29-2012 02:44 PM

As long as we're not being realistic (spreading wings and such) I would like to hug my mom and dad.

SallyC 07-29-2012 06:18 PM

Well, being realistic, I'd just like to walk my dog up to the park to see the ducks.

The flying thing came from a dream, one of my few that wasn't a nightmare.

PUT YOUR REALISTIC "IF YOU COULDS" HERE TOO.

ewizabeth 07-29-2012 07:35 PM

I would be finished with school, it wears me out and my house is a disaster place!

Aarcyn 07-29-2012 08:01 PM

my wish is simple. I would like to dance. Nothing fancy just to move about to my favorite songs like I did before MS.

TheSleeper 07-29-2012 08:21 PM

Well one of my best friend`s son is part owner of a fishing camp on the French River in Ontario Canada, spending a month up there would be a plan.

considering how dreadfully hot it is where I live right now, a fishing camp on a river in Canada sounds like a piece of heaven.

If I could do anything? I would love to hug my parents again. I would love to confess that I stole an Indian head nickle from my Dad/'s collection when I was a kid. Shoot, I needed a nickle! I would love to be able to know the kind of love my parents had for each other. I know a few that do, I don't

Judy2 07-30-2012 05:27 AM

I'd love to stand up and walk!:):):) Of course there wouldn't be any pain either. What a dream...........at least I can look forward to it happening in heaven.:OuttaHere::smileypray:

Dejibo 07-30-2012 08:44 AM

I would love to get out of here! every time we make plans to move or even go on a vacation its gets messed up! Whether we ran out of money due to vet bills, or needing to enclose the deck or replace the tub or the market crashed and our house wont sell. I WANT OUT OF THIS TOWN! I live on a stress filled street with nosey rosey people and noise and dirt and rule breakers and folks who shoot fireworks at the houses and throw their trash out the window as they drive by and steal things from your yard at night....GET ME OUTTA HERE! thats my wish.

KittyLady 07-30-2012 08:57 AM

I'd love to win the lottery. DH wouldn't have to work anymore and we could move back north to be closer to the kids and grandkids. I miss my family!!

barb02 07-30-2012 09:37 AM

First , I would go for a nice long walk, and then I would book tickets for a trip back to Ireland and Scotland.

azoyizes 07-30-2012 11:53 AM

I would go country western dancing with my husband. We used to do the Texas Two-Step, Waltz, Cotton-Eyed Joe, and I used to line dance. I really miss dancing! :nopity:

Kitty 07-30-2012 12:16 PM

I'd open a no-kill cat shelter. Complete with a vet for low cost spay/neuter & pet care and a "food pantry" for folks who're having a hard time taking care of their pets.

Honestly? If alcohol didn't kill your liver, and tobacco didn't kill the rest of you, I'd drink all I can and smoke like a chimney...maybe in Heaven;)

That picture was taken in 1988, one of the hottest, driest summers on record here, late July, early August, on the Georgian Bay in Ontario. Notice the flannel?

This so far has been the hottest, driest summer since 1988 here. I can do with out it.

SallyC 07-31-2012 09:10 AM

I say we all take off to Sleeper's place.:D

1988 was a very good year for both of us, it seems.

The flannel was the FIRST thing I noticed!!!

Did you eat the fish or catch and release?

msarkie 07-31-2012 12:23 PM

Hire a nanny. I need Alice from the Brady Bunch! Or Mary Poppins!

ms er since '06 07-31-2012 08:46 PM

I'm with Sally - I would love to go for a walk with my little dog Fluffy (1/2 Pom/1/2 Maltese). Also, to go into a store on my own two feet instead of being pushed or using a walker.

I know there are people way worse than me, though ..........

Aarcyn, I was up there with my wife and kids, those two walleye were dinner. I rarely keep fish, but my ex and kids liked to eat them. I rarely fish for walleye, it was a competitive thing, no one else in camp was catching them, there were no real bass fishermen in camp to compete with, so I made it my challenge of the day.

sadly my biggest "if I could" wish is to take a nap
