Having a really hard time
For the past week, Ive been in a drunken like state and the hug is coming and going like an unwelcomed guest. Im so dizzy, I cant focus on anything. My husband was standing up talking to me and I told him to please stop moving its hurting my head and he said he wasnt moving at all. OMG! Im so dizzy, I almost puked today. I am falling again and need my dh to help me with my walker. I feel so out of control! The hug is paying its little visit again. Pain all around my front and back, its going from my chest all the way down to bottom of my ribs and has even settled in between my shoulder blades. My spasms are getting out of control. No amount of meds is helping them settle down. Ive got pain from my hips down to my feet. Cant lay down, cant sit for long, walking helps alittle but Im so dizzy and weak walking is a chore right now. Im also choking on everything I put into my mouth. I use to choke only on liquids so I use a straw. Now, Im choking on food too. I cut my food really small, cuz the big pieces are hard to get down. If I cut my food any smaller, I might as well puree it! Boy, I thought I was falling apart before, now Im SURE of it! DH and I are both afraid Im working my way to another ER visit if this doesnt let up soon. :thud:

So sorry you are going through a tough time. I really have no words of wisdom or advice--if an ER visit would bring you relief, however, by all means GO!

you need to be seen to find a way to calm this monster. Whether its steroids, or muscle relaxers or PT I hope you call your MD and get in to see him/her. Life is no fun in the spin cycle.
Feel better  |
Call your Doc, Kittylady.....soon!!!
Feel better.. |
KL,
So sorry that you are going thru this. the others are right- no need to suffer- get help. ANN |
my advice would be to see your dr ASAP. you could also be flaring and need some medication intervention. plus, you want to stay safe and not be falling.
please, please call your dr. |

I am so sorry to read what you are going through. The only suggestion I can offer is Requip for spasms. It always calms them down for me. I hope you get the help that you need.

Update
Hey everyone. Thanks for all the advice and well wishes. Im not much better. Im still dizzy and tipping over, and now my toes seem to be curling under my foot. Craziest thing Ive seen. I will chalk that up to the spasticity. I will say tho, the pain has decreased! The fatigue is kicking my bum. Spend almost all day in bed and cant wake up. Tired of being tired, I know you all know what I mean :grouphug: Unfortunately, I cant go to the doc right now. I have no insurance and Im still in the process of paying off my previous balance with him. I will be going to see him next month. If this is a flare, Im at the begining of it, and Im not doing steroids again, so I'll have to "John Wayne" my way thru it. I will survive. I have a great support team at home and here on NT. Thanks all!!

Kittylady,
Can you email him or get some advice on the phone? ANN |
(((((Kittylady)))))
I'm wondering if your immune system might be reacting to an infection, like a cold or flu virus? The fatigue and other symptoms could be indications that the immune system is cranked up; and that of course will get it going on the nervous system too. Plenty of rest and lots of fluids might be the way to go...and it sounds like that is what the body is wanting. Hopefully you can contact your MD and get some advice. In the mean time, may you rest easy Kittylady; and may this pass quickly. With love, Erika |
I'm so glad you have a good support system at home!
