Verseo Foot Patches?????
Hello all:
Re: http://www.verseo.com/detox.html Well, you know me, if there's a new gadget out there, I'm the one to put it here and get your opinions. Only I didn't find this, Alan did. He just said "Before I spend $40 on these things, see what everybody thinks about them. So here's the information: ------------------------------------------------------------------ Verseo Detox Foot Patch - 30 patches Detoxify your feet in just minutes a day! Includes 30 patches Verseo Direct Price: $39.99 Usually ships the next business day — Discreetly Packaged — Verseo Detox Foot Patch - 2 Patches | Verseo Detox Foot Patch - 10 Patches | Verseo Detox Foot Patch - 90 Patches The Verseo Detox Foot Patch is an all natural patch that amazingly extracts heavy metals and other forms of toxins from your system while you sleep. It uses all-natural ingredients at the optimum blending ratios. Japanese scientists took over 24 years to develop this detoxification technology. People are using The Verseo Detox Foot Patch to: Relieve pain and discomfort of arthritis Improve immunity system Increase vitality and energy Reduce stress and anxiety Improve circulation Improve sleep Enhance mental focus and concentration Soothe headaches Increase vitality and energy The Verseo Detox Foot Patch is doctor recommended and is the #1 consumer-rated, most effective detox patch in the marketplace today! How does it work? Basically, the Verseo Detox Foot Patch provides a "One-Two Punch" as it gives you an unparalleled detoxification and cleansing experience.First, it contains Tourmaline which is a mineral found in Brazil. Tourmaline possesses a unique property of emitting far infrared rays, which generate negative ions. Negative ions are known for having a soothing therapeutic effect on your body, which explains why people feel so relaxed after a rainstorm or being next to a waterfall. When worn on your foot, the negative ions stimulate acupressure meridian points for various vital organs. This improves circulation and detoxification activity in your body, and at the same time helps you get a deep, relaxing sleep. Second, The Verseo Detox Foot Patch contains a wood vinegar essence. Chinese villagers have known for thousands of years that the sap from Oak, Beech, and Sakura trees make a potent topical salve for treating infections and irritations. Scientists have discovered that a highly processed formulation of these ingredients has an amazing ability to absorb toxins right through your skin. Ingredients: Dextrin (vegetable source) Eucalyptus Globulus Wood Vinegar Agaricus Mushroom Menthol (Peppermint) Tourmaline (natural mineral) Silica Dimethicone Silylate The Verseo Detox Foot Patch will detoxify your system, restore balance to your nervous system, boost immunity, improve metabolism and circulation and assist your body in healing itself. The Verseo Detox Foot Patch may be applied to many parts of the body but you will receive the most dramatic results by applying them to the soles of your feet. Why? According to Chinese medical knowledge, our body has over 60 reflexology meridian points on the soles of the foot. Known as the “second heart”, they are the reflective zones of our major internal organs. And, because gravity and your body’s own natural defense system which moves toxins away from vital organs, your feet become a “storage pit” for heavy metals and toxins. The true test is to try them. Before going to bed, simply apply the patches to the soles of your feet using adhesive tape (included). In the morning when you peel off the patches, you'll see all the toxins that were extracted from your body. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Doesn't mention neuropathy but since many neuropathies are Idiopathic, I figure, what's the worst that could happen??? Anybody ever hear of this item??? thanks, Mel |
Hi Mel
I have also seen these at the chemist. Theres a picture of someone sleeping on the box,and a before and after shot. So when they put the pads on the soles of their feet, the pads were white. When they woke up the pads were black. The black representing the toxins the pads drew out. It costs about $40-$50 dollars, so they are a bit dear.
I just don't know. I am really tired of getting ripped off if you know what I mean, and they are not cheap either!! I think it would be worth it if it really worked, but I also kind of worry about the increase or enhancement in immune system, as it was my immune system that got me into this mess to start with. It has gone a bit nutty. I have also posted once on the old forum about some sort of foot bath that draws toxins out,and the water is black or severly sedimented after 30 minutes or so. People called it "snakeoil". Although I still do not understand why water is black if it is snakeoil? |
I believe they were calling it "snakeoil"
--not literally, but because that became a shorthand slang for rip-off substances, sold with great hype, that were supposed to effect medical "cures".
In the old American West, one of the numerous ingredients that were supposed to be in these "tonics" and other formulations was snake oil, hence the term. Over time it came to be used to mean any substance that purported to give relief or cure that was just an unscrupulous attempt to prey on the vulnerable and which has nothing in it that could actually help. |
Well, one of us has to be a guinea pig.
Alan is looking for a part time job. He is out there right now for his second interview. If he gets it, he said the first thing he is going to do is get these patches. If the darn thing works, YOU'LL KNOW YOU'LL HEAR FROM ME, Well, you'll hear either way. So cross your fingers that Alan gets the job. It's only a part time job on the weekends because all his appointments are during the week. I give the guy credit. He's turning 60 in two months and he still wants to work. Gotta love him!!! Mel |
my first impression...
is still my current impression:
There is something in the patches that oxidizes in the air when mixed with sweat, changes color, and hence fools you into thinking they are sucking out toxins. I wonder if people who have severe neuropathy who don't sweat would have the same reaction? Why the soles of the feet? Notice the patch does not cover the whole foot? Here are some articles to consider: http://health.howstuffworks.com/sweat1.htm http://www.indiadiets.com/myths/Myth...ids_toxins.htm Because feet stink, people think that toxins are there, but in reality it is bacteria making the "smell".. Quote:
I think that those patches (very high price is a give-away sign) are playing on simple chemical facts. What is tourmaline? Quote:
The vinegar content is important, because skin is normally acidic. In fact we have medical ointments designed to work with skin, when it is irritated or damaged... this base (which often has medications added to it) is called Acid Mantle cream, named after the acid mantle found on healthy skin: http://www.smartskincare.com/skinbiology/sebum.html I don't think these patches are removing "toxins"... I would like to know WHAT toxins, wouldn't you? Has anyone analyzed these patches AFTER they turn dark? At this point I am thinking--bunkum... expensive bunkum. If Alan does try these ultimately, I'd be interested. To see if they worked or did anything. Nothing in them seems expensive enough to warrant that high price. |
They did a story on the local news here about those foot baths that were supposed to remove toxins. It was proven to be a rip off. They did the test by using whatever it is they use in the water and just watched it turn black without anybody putting their feet in. There was a company here putting white lab coats on people and they were having these parties where you paid somewhere around 40 bucks to get the "toxins" removed.

Hi,My Dr. keeps telling me there was no reason for my Pn other than a mutant gene.I go in with a list each time.. could it been exposure to to some chemical, could it been x-rays,could it been a drug reaction of some kind...I go CRAZY with trying to figure out the why and how,i wish it something easy as like vitamins,or lack of vitamins. It be a great comfort to me to be able to pin these disease on something. Why did this happen? What caused my body to start destroying the Peripheral nerves? Why did it progress so fast?..Every night i have this dream someday dr. will pour a dark purple liiquid into a beaker and red smoke curls upward...he will shout EUREKA...I'v found the answer to periphereral neuropathy..Other Drs. gather around and shake there heads and say..Darn,is that all it was? Why didn't we think of that!!:) My son tells me i need more sleep his wife a Psychiatrist saids it can't hurt or just maybe someday my dream will come true....If it sounds good and doesn't give you a rash try it;) Sue

That video really irritated me!!
Those 2 women have to be the stupidest people I have ever seen. All dressed up in white lab coats!!
Well those ionic baths are in every chinese massage place in Sydney with big posters showing the "removal of toxins". I have never tried it but have always wanted to. I have been afraid of the electric current to be honest. The chinese massage places are peddling cure all herbs and ionic cleanse and whatever else under the sun you can imagine. Just to share something, I had gone in for a simple massage one day,and the massage guy said to me ,"what's wrong with your kidney? I replied, nothing at all! He then asked why does it hurt when I presses my back? I said," probably because I have a bad back!" He then said," I have some ancient chinese herbs that can help you." I said," I don't buy herbs that aren't approved by my GP as I have a medical condition." He then said "you really need these herbs". I said," I don't want your damn herbs ok... so don't ask me again!":D Anything for money sometimes. It's so disgusting. Also about 2 weeks ago, my husband and I saw a man in a shopping centre with a stall selling Goji juice by the box full. He had a piece of paper that listed all the conditions that it cures. My husband approached him,and asked me if he can spend $280.00 on a box of Goji juice. I told the man, I watched a news clip of the owner of Goji juice basically being reduced to a fraudster, and laboratory studies had shown that Goji juice had almost no nutrition at all!! Then I looked at my husband and said "its all a scam"! The man selling the Goji juice looked at me with contempt in his eyes. |
Oh my, it' a scam!!!http://bestsmileys.com/crying/2.gif
I'm going to check out the links that you guys posted. Sounds like a lot of snakeoil salesman are still operating on poor unsuspecting people!!! That's why I ask you guys everything first. Maybe someday....... --------------------------------------------- Okay, I'm back, just saw the videos with the two ladies in the white coats. I was actually embarassed for them. They looked like they were caught red handed and they didn't know what to say. Snakeoil salesmen.....you're not gonna get my husband. http://bestsmileys.com/lol/17.gif |
Let me share this little story...
It might illustrate why I am so skeptical.
When I was a teen, I had a chemistry set (no surprise there;) ) My brother who is 11 yrs younger than I, was a little boy. These sets were very common in those days, but not so much now because of safety rules we now have. There were many little experiments in oxidation/reduction reactions. One would take a clear liquid of an iron compound, and add a few drops of another clear solution, like sodium thiosulfate, and bingo, get a fancy precipitate. Same for copper, and other metallic ions. Same with acetic acid. Now, 45+yrs later, I don't remember them all. But they were MAGIC for my brother! My parents used this fascination to control his behavior..you know...if you behave..she will do the magic for you! I think the moisture from sweat reacts with the heavy metals (the ones I bolded in the post above) and changes their state to a precipitate, which is non soluble and colored. The vinegar is in there to provide the acidic format in case the person does not have acidic skin. |
That's ok Mel, now Goji juice for 280.00 a box iif that wasn't so sad it would be funny..Got to telll my 3 children about that 1 i wonder how many people in pain fell for that one, should of accidently stepped on his foot to see if he would sell it to himself!!!!:D Sue

Reminds me of what happened to me in Chemistry Class when I was 16.
I went to a private parochial school (with the nuns). Sister Mary Clare was in front of the class and we all had some kind of bunsen burners and beakers of some stuff. The stuff smelled bad (now don't ask me what this was because who on earth can remember 45 years or so ago!!!!). Because the girl sitting next to me was somebody I couldn't stand (she thought she was better than anybody), I played a practical joke on her. I handed her the beaker of the stuff and told her to take a whiff (bad idea, because SMOKE STARTED TO COME OUT OF HER NOSE). She started screaming, the nun almost killed me, (oh for the good old days). The stuff we do when we're 16 years old!!!! lol Melody |
Melody, ever see MYTHBUSTERS?
ON Discovery Channel? Somehow I've the feeling this MYTH is BUSTED?
IF it were soo good DOCS, real docs would be doing it...somehow they aren't. Nuff said. - j How are you with the rain/wind and flooding? I've family in Bergen Co across the 'other river' and they'd 7-8 inches of rain..That is a LOT..Here a bit south we had only 3" of rain, but heaps and heaps of WIND! Hurricane sounds all day..Hope things ease up, this is a nasty one. - j |
How am I with the rain/wind/flooding??
Well, we're not seeing any rowboats in my neck of the woods. But trees came down. Really scary stuff. But did it keep me in my house??? Are you kidding?? Yesterday morning, I went to Dunkin Dounuts for my breakfast. Ah, what a treat??? I don't eat anything fattening. Just a lowcarb bagel and an egg and their delicious cup of coffee. This is my respite from my anxieties. Works every time. Thank god I don't drink or I'd be in big trouble. I used to EAT but can't do that anymore. What on earth does a person do when their stressed and they can't EAT, DRINK OR DO DRUGS!!! Well, I'll tell you. Last night the 80 year old guy from downstairs rings my bell and starts exclaiming (in italian mind you, no body speaks a word of english downstairs). Melodia IUTA ME.. which roughly translates to Help help. !!! So I go downstairs and what do I see??? Their daughter ordered them Verizon dsl and there was the modem, the filters, the cables and these two 80 year italian people who look at me and I saw it in their eyes "can you hook us up". I burst out laughing. So I installed everything, filters, cables, saw the steady green light on the modem, popped in the CD. clicked next next next (all the while these two little people are looking at me like I'm their Christmas Angel or something to that effect. The whole thing took 90 minutes. YOu should have seen the expression on their faces when they got on the internet. Then I had to show him (in italian) how to do Verizon Email. He kept asking me "why isn't there a voice exclaiming "YOU'VE GOT MAIL". I tried to explain that this was not AOL , this was Verizon and there would be no little voice. I never laughed so hard in my life. But it doesn't end there. This morning (at 7:30 a.m) when I go out to get my paper off my front porch, who is standing there waiting for me to show my face was the little man from downstairs imploring me to "show me how to do email." He completely forgot what I showed him last night. I laughed and said "let me eat my breakfast first". I'm going downstairs right now. Oh I bet I'm going to get a nice Chistmas present from these two next year!!! They're a hoot. Imagine, being 80 years old, getting a dsl line, not speaking a word of english. I think that's just aswesome!!!! Melody |
Verseo Foot pads
I have been using these in conjuction with other treatment. They help draw the toxins out and better used after saunas, massages, scubs and any other detox stuff. My pads are taken to hospital lab and chemical content is anyalzed. It was very amazing to find out what you body is spuing out. They are good , but use them after some kind of treatment and DO NOT touch the crud part ( they need to stay on at least 6 hours. ) The crud will be re-absorbed into your body! Ya, these are good, but use with some other treatment and when you get enough, about 3-6 pads, you can persue and see if you doc can send to lab to analyze. Metals and chemicals will come up in percentages! Good luck, ya all!
|
loklok...
...do you use the pads for neuropathy treatment?
|
???

And I'd like to know exactly what those tests are revealing...you don't say. |
Mel
I love you but this has get to be a no no,but it's nice to have a curious
mind. :D Hugs to ya Sue |
IMO there will be no cures until stem cells are implanted into the periperhal nerve system. Medicial science has advanced to the point of planting stem cells into damaged heart muscles after heart attacks with very good results of regeneration.
|
Stagger, I completely agree.
Thats why I plan to be around until this happens. May take another 50 years. I'll just watch my diet till then. lol Melody |
MelodyL,
With your upbeat caring personality I believe your gonna make it. Just remember to practice safe sex at 100 years young.;) |
Safe sex when I'm 100??? I'll be lucky if I can even find my 'you know what", when I'm 90, let alone practice safe sex!!!
Also, I reach 100 in 40 years. Believe me, not only will they have perfected better diagnostic techniques by this time, they will have perfected a better way than the condom for having safe sex. Want to hear what I think will be the way every has sex by the time I'm 100??? Ever watch the movie Demolition Man with Sylvester Stallone. He is in deep freeze for about 30 years for a crime he didn't commit. They get him out of cold storage, give him back his police badge, and they team him up with Sandra Bullock to find the bad guy, Wesley Snipes. Now there is a part in this film, when he goes to Sandra Bullock's futuristic apartment and they are talking and she asks him "would you like to have sex"? The look on his face is priceless. He says "yeah" (I mean, what the heck, did we think he was going to say NO!!!). So he's sitting on the couch anticipating Sandra Bullock coming out in a revealing outfit, when she comes out with two head helmet things. He looks at her and says "what is this?" She says "this is how we have sex". IT'S ALL VIRTUAL!!! He looks at her and says "wait a minute, what about the old fashioned way"?? and she looks at him all aghast and says "you mean exchange bodily fluids,?? ewwwwwwww!!! I never laughed so hard in all my life. Believe me, in the upcoming 40 or 50 years, they will have perfected virtual reality in such a way, that we'll all be connected to something on our heads (we probably don't even have to leave our computer chairs for this one), we'll probably have endorphins shooting out all over the place. Look what happend since the aliens landed in Roswell New Mexico in 1947. All technology happened after that. We are still learning. So just imagine in 40 years. We'll be using hovercrafts (powered by Super conductors, we have them now, but they are in the infant stage). But in 40 years, believe me, technology will allow us to live longer, live healthier (that is if we do all the right stuff we are supposed to do). So there will be virtual reality sex and beaming in and out of places. I can't wait. I'm a trekkie from way back. Or trekker, depending on who you talk do. Now will we do it the old fashioned way or will we do it by virtual reality?? Well, I think of Tony Randall and Anthony Quinn, who fathered children in their 80's. IT AIN'T OVER TILL IT'S OVER!!! lol Melody (from the Starship Enterprise). |
MelodyL,
WOW, you sure got the old heart pumping and praying for longevity. SS will surely be broke by then, But I like the idea living on love:hug: |
You're funny!!!!!

Verseo Detox Foot Patches
These patches are available from LTD Commodities for $24.95. But I agree, they are probably a trick. Has anyone tried epsom salts in a foot bath?
|
I remember my mother and my italian grandmother used Epson Salts for absolutely everything that was wrong with you.
Soaked your feet in it. Drank it for your stomach. God, I feel so old!!! lol |

I've seen those commercials for the patches too. I so wished there was something that simple and relatively cheap that would 'fix' my PN. For good. But it doesn't work that way, sadly. I figured they had found some kind of chemical reaction to make it appear that the patches were doing what they claim they will do. If it worked that well wouldn't there be...I don't know...a major news headline story at least? :D |
Detox Foot Patches - I use them.
Hello - I' was just surfing for reviews on the Verseo Detox Foot Patches, primarily because my husband thinks they are a bunch of nonsense - I landed on this Neuro Talk forum and joined. I use the Verseo Premium Detox Foot Patches - not because I've seen them on the As-Seen-On-TV ads, but because I was looking into a detox system that doesn't keep you sitting on the potty 24 hours a day!
I gotta tell you, I like these. I have never seen "black" on the pads the next morning but I have seen brown sticky gunk. I was completely ready to see nothing - I don't drink or smoke or hang with smokers etc. But, I got the gobbly gook. How it happens, don't know but I use them and love them. I wake up after a really, really good sleep. I'm on my feet alot during the day and they seem to refresh my feet and I feel good. Is it all in my head? Could be but if I can feel good, have my feet feel good and get a good night sleep - I'll keep using them! I use them three nights in a row - until the pad comes almost "clean" and then again the following week. So, there's my two cents worth. |

Sue....
You gotta be careful with those beakers with steam coming out of them...
I don't trust them myself: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...ing_potion.gif Now this type of beaker (a photo taken by my son) is more my style: (BTW I gave him this empty beaker when I found them on Ebay and bought 3 of them for a song). I thought he could use it for cooking. I am going to use mine for mixing hummingbird nectar. That is his roommate in the background holding his new adopted kitty--- who ran in the door one day in Nov while my son was taking trash to the dumpster. They decided to keep her. I hate to brag (not) but my son is becoming a very creative photographer. <wink> |
That beaker is soooooo cool!
